This fabric I use as a tablecloth. It was a gift to my daughter when she house sat for a couple who were teaching in Malawi Africa.

About 5 years ago, my sewing buddy and I went to an estate sale. A quilter had passed away. The flyer read that we should bring our own totes and would be charged fifty dollars per full tote. I filled only one tote, but my buddy filled much more than I. Other than a few fat quarters, no pieces were less than a yard. I was in heaven!

Quilts made by my mother for me:

this is queen sized & hand quilted

This is lap sized & hand quilted

This is smaller - a square that fits ok on a queen size bed. It is one of the first my mom had machine quilted by someone else for her. She decided, after making quilts for my 4 siblings, herself , grandchildren, & other family, that hand quilting took too long & she enjoyed picking colors, patterns & putting quilts together more than she liked doing the hand quilting. She was always sewing clothing but her interest in quiilting started at about 65 years of age & continued into her mid 80’s until she was unable to understand or follow the directions due to cognitive decline. She died at 92 but her family is still wrapped in her love by her quilts she made for all of us. Treasures of the heart!
