Comments (7)Thanks for the tips on the Yorkshire puddings, Islay, I've only made them once, I just never seem to think of them until I've already made dinner and defaulted to potatoes and/or dinner rolls. (sigh) Gotta change my way of thinking. Louise, I think that's a very good idea, it might even "cut" the greasy mouthfeel of the short ribs enough for me. At any rate, you could fill the Yorkshires with shredded beef other than short ribs and it would still be good. Maybe a drop of horseradish sauce too.... Actually, I was thinking along those lines with popovers, as my stepson tore the top off one at Christmas and filled it with au gratin potatoes, LOL. I started thinking of all kinds of things to fill a popover with. And then I forgot, until now. Thanks for the reminder! Annie...See MoreRECIPE: looking for easy appetizers
Comments (19)How about this one I've posted before? Everyone I've served it to really liked it & you make it ahead of time: ROQUEFORT GRAPES (makes 50) 1 lb large, seedless red grapes 10 oz pecans 4 TBL crumbled Roquefort cheese 8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened 2 TBL heavy cream Wash the grapes & pat dry. Crush the pecans on a platter or sheet of waxed paper. Combine the Roquefort, cream cheese & cream in a bowl & mix well. Roll the grapes in the cheese mixture & then in the pecans, coating well. Chill, covered, until serving time.~~ First Impressions...See More//Recipe of the Day December 2 -Appetizers

Comments (20)Love those pigs in a blanket things. I buy them from Sam's. I also like stuffed mushrooms--can't get much easier than these, but they don't travel well; they get soggy. They're very addictive. STUFFED MUSHROOMS 42 large fresh mushrooms 1 lb. mild sausage* 1 - 8 oz. cream cheese, softened 1 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes *I use a medium lb. of Jimmy Dean sausage and leave out the pepper flakes. Clean mushrooms with a damp paper towel. Take out the stems. Cook sausage until crumbly and drain. Stir in cream cheese and pepper flakes, if using. Spoon into mushrooms. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes....See Moresleevendog (5a NY 6aNYC NL CA)
