Anyone else like soggy lettuce?

I recently noticed something I guess I’ve noticed before but never really gave much thought to until now. Every day I pack a salad for my daughter’s lunch. Invariably, she dkesn’t eat all of it. When she unpacks her lunch box I run for the salad: no longer cool, soggy from the balsamic dressing, perhaps just a hint of crunch remaining in the ribs of the romaine. Love it!

This got me thinking of other times I enjoy salad leftovers: Cleaning up after a meal, the day after getting takeout, etc.

The funny thing is, I'm fairly particular about how I serve salad. Bowls are often chilled, greens as dry as possible, not dressed until last minute…

Am I the only weirdo? I have half a mind to make a salad and let it sit on the counter for a few hours before eating, but that just seems so wrong!
