Designers Needs! Art - Decor - Lighting Help Needed!
Comments (3)Hi! Yes, there is a gap. I just moved in two days ago and moved them out of the way as the whole lofted area has storage underneath. The three staircases and dark wood sections of the floor can be lifted up or moved around. I do like the idea of some architectural drawing. How would three colorful but vintage prints like Tour de France, Grand Prix, or travel from Art.com? What If I put in a indoor tree where the arch light is? I'm really want to make sure it looks more "Adult" and less college/bachelor pad. https://www.art.com/products/p10116072-sa-i893840/ham-geo-monaco-1937.htm?upi=E8IFG0...See Morehelp decorate our new sunroom. Comments (4)We need a little more info but first IMO you need some sort of heat and light blocking so solar shades would be a nice choice and a floor plan with as much detail as possible like the measurements of all the spaces and doorways for sure . Is the sofa staying, is that a good indication of your style. Some pics of the other spaces in the home would be helpful...See MoreHelp! Temp living room color, lighting, decor
Comments (7)You are welcome. I am not quite sure I understand. You are undertaking a home renovation and "learning as you go"? Or do you have an expert advising you? Design is, in my opinion, more of a science than an art. If you don't have an overall plan, this will be very costly to you in terms of money and frustration in the end. No, I would not add wainscotting. Here is what I see so far: -what appears to be a modern style kitchen (as far as I can tell) -a farmhouse style light fixture in the future dining room I don't know what your overall plan is, but it is critical to have that at the outset. Paint is really the last thing you should be considering, once all other elements are chosen. First thing you need to do when planning any kind of design or renovation: look at inspiration photos and have a vision of what you want the house to look like. There are numerous steps after that, but it seems you have not taken this first step? Or maybe you have, but missed some other ones?...See MoreHelp how to decorate window. Window treatment Decor
Comments (9)Do you really need sheers and blinds? I’d keep the blinds and add blackout panels, but you might prefer keeping the sheers. I don’t think you’ll get all that much oomph from raising the rods to the ceiling. For me, I would want something a bit dramatic to off-set your lovely new tufted bed. I don’t know what your climate is, so I don’t know if solid dark velvet-y drapes would feel oppressive, but that is what I would go for. If I was someplace in the sunbelt, I might go for something linen (backed with blackout) with a subtle embrodiery design...See Morentozzi
