HELP With Kitchen Island Outlets

MGdecor

Hi Everyone,
We have finished our kitchen renovation and I'm very dissatisfied with how the electrical outlets look in the island. The kitchen is modern and sleek and these outlets stick out like a sore thumb. Our cabinet maker didn't offer any solutions and I had looked at trufig/ 22 systems for flush installation but deemed them way too expensive and potentially cumbersome for trades involved.
Now I've discovered flushtek and wonder if the wood wood panel can be modified after it's already been installed in the island. Usually, the carpenter would use a router in the shop but now would need to do it on the installed island. Has anyone used Flushtek? And is this even possible? Or am I looking for trouble and should move on?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
