I really like the bookcase on the accent wall - seems like it would overpower the wall next to the kitchen entrance. It looks really nice where it’s at in the pic. I agree with you about the gorgeous reflections on it too. If you don’t *have* to have a 2 person office I’d leave it as-is and enjoy the open space. If you do have to add a second desk would it work to put one facing the windows in front of the railing? You’d have to forgo the chaise (which sounds amazing) but it may be an idea to play with.

It depends on what you do in the office and how much you want to spend, but I would: Get rid of the rug entirely and leave the floor au natural, but add a desk chair mat under your chair to protect the floor. Add a few tall shelves or bookcases, depending on what you need them for (files vs equipment vs books) -- Ikea has some nice options that aren't expensive and are easy to assemble. I'd add colour to the window covering (different drape? coloured tie?) and then decide if you want art work/photos and/or a corkboard/white board. If your peripherals (like printers, etc) are small, you may want to consider something like Ikea's Kallax series, because they could fit in some of the boxes, while you use others for books or baskets. I wish I'd thought of that before I got the storage unit I did.

I think an office needs to be layed out to work best for you and how you work. I use my file cabinets constantly so it is under my desk to reach easily. This is a pretty room I love the floors they have an elegance that regular wood color will not have. As for feminine my opinion on that is to keep that to a min. Ift his was my office I would want to face the windows so desk in the middle facing those would be awesome . Then a nice small sofa behind the desk and if you go wireless you could have everything else in a cabinet behind the sofa like a sofa table look

You can't replace your original photos? Call Houzz, have them delete this post, and then you just start over with a new one. They can't edit your photo for you...use your draw software and blot it out yourself and replace.
