Please help with living room furniture placement
Comments (9)I appreciate your time Beverly. Yes, I agree no room for bookcases on that side of the room. Yes, 22' from armoire to corner window. Where do you suggest I place the couch and loveseat and perhaps move the armoire? Currently I feel the furniture is "bunched" up to one side of the room. One time I had the couch directly opposite of fireplace (between dining room) and loveseat in front of corner window. However, seating too far away for conversation. I am willing to move out the bookcase(s) and add console and/or side chairs. Open to suggestions,...See More1st Home Furniture Arrangement! Small, high-traffic sunken living room
Comments (11)Definitely no to two conversation areas, but yes to opening it up and taking advantage of the entire space. I'm not sure how far you are on your selections, but Ethan Allen offers Complementary Design services with your purchase, and I can honestly say working one on one with someone to create a tailored, cohesive space for you down to the exact measurements and circulation of a space plan is very valuable for pieces you want to own and fit for a long time. If you want more info, you can PM me. Otherwise, good luck with your space and congratulations on your new home! I like the idea of sofa + 2 chairs or Sectional + 1 or 2 small chairs.... not everything has to match, just balance well!...See MoreLiving room/dining room furniture placement help.
Comments (12)I moved some things around and I think I like it better. I know the rug is too small and it shouldn't be "floating" but I don't want a new one until we get the other changes done. I moved the dresser into the dining room and hung (probably too high but couldn't convince 6'3" hubby to lower it and he had a point about being out of reach of the tornado. haha) the sign and pictures that had been on the mantle in the dining room. We also took off the ridiculous trim board they had up because we will be replacing the slider soon. So many things in this house like that silliness. I organized most of the books and moved the bookshelf. And grabbed a few canvases (I know they are small but can't remember where we left my big one) I did the flower, my dad painted the one on the right in Vietnam in '68. We need to fix the coffee table my dad built that's in the garage, I'll put it in front of the sofa, it's a little under 6'long, so it might be technically too big but, again, it's what I have. How'd I do?...See Morehelp with the furniture placement is needed, pass through living room
Comments (19)Hello Alexey, Once the house has been built and you are able to stand you living room It will be easier for you to see what will or will not work for you. Especially since you are still fine tuning various aspects in the room such as window size, etc. Thank you for the updates. That helped. Please know that the furniture placement is the only thing that is being presented NOT the style or colors in the room. we put a piano in the room in place of your electric piano. We don't have one in our selections. There is enough seating for 10 folks with the padded stools around the room. there are two book cases. One on opposite sides of the room, as you can see, this was intended to give you a "play area" for your little one that includes the open space in front of the piano. We put 4 chairs in the sitting area but you can easily move them around the room to another location or omit 2 of them and pull extra seating from the dining room table when you more guests. Hope this helps. Best Wishes with the construction of your new home and congratulations. We wish you many happy memories to come in your new home. MAE...See Morelpoham
