Thank you all for your good wishes. It looks as though I'll have a busy summer coming soon. I'd better get a passport soon, as there's a long lineup for them and it takes a long time for one to have it delivered. I've not had a visit with clergy colleagues on the west coast, largely from seminary days, for a long time and would like to visit some ... and the longer one leaves it, the fewer there are. Also, who knows how long I'll be as fortunate to be enjoying as good health as I have, up until now? I'd like to travel by car, as it gives me the opportunity to vist a number of locations in different areas. My brother in Sask. is having a reunion of our Mother's side of the family in the early part of July, on their farm in southern Saskatchewan. We've been holding them every three years or so for about 25 years and they've always been in the east, so far. There's to be a reunion of former Korea missionaries in North Carolina at the end of July ... and I travelled to see my niece's family in north central GA while there three years ago. I had a visit with Pooh Bear on the way home. Maybe I'll have an opportunity to meet some other KT people along the routes. I hope that you all have a really fine New Year. ole joyful

This is kinda different from the beautiful surprises you all mentioned. But it was unexpected. My next door neighbor brought our family a popcorn popper and popcorn for it yesterday afternoon. It a Whirly.. something, goes on the stove top. It's very cute, and fun to use, we tried it out already LOL. This man moved in next door to us a few months ago, lives alone, in his 60s, his kids are grown and he's divorced. I know almost nothing about him, except he's diabetic (so I cannot return the favor with a plate of homemade cookies). I know about that b/c he ordered cookie dough from DD's fundraiser, then when we delivered the product he turned around and gave it back to US to use, explaining he can't eat them but wanted to help out DD's team anyway! OMG! He just continues his acts of kindness to us, though we still barely seem to know each other. I don't know what to make of this! He's gone today, or I would have him over for dinner. Meanwhile, I'm wracking my brain trying to think of just the right favor or gift to give back to him. Oh, we've taken his trash can back and held deliveries for him when he's out of town, but I want to think of something special. Stephanie, who totally lucked out on neighbors all the way around.

Gosh, I think that is a terrific gift. You and your family deserve it!! I would like the have trees planted in Yosemite for my grandkids. Do you know what national park?
