How many pips per pot?
Comments (7)Some hostas just look drop dead gorgeous when they unfurl and some need a bit of time to come to color. I would guess that for those hosta that look their best at the time of your sale, you may get away with just two pips rather than the three per pot. We have a store that sells hosta each year. Last year they had a good variety of hosta. Most of the hosta were small sized, but they did have some more mature hostas that year. I did not think that the large hostas sold as easily. I think that people feel that they can buy small and the hosta will mature in no time at all. But we hostaholics know better and sometimes it pays to get a hosta in a larger size. Perhaps you have taken pictures of your hostas in the past years? If you have some good pictures, you may want to display them or have them handy as an example to show a potential customer. These were just some of my thoughts....See MorePips on my potted hostas....
Comments (3)I also think I'll start keeping some sort of journal, as some on the forum have described, so I'll have a record of dates and such from year to year....See MoreHow should I proceed with dying potted mandarin?
Comments (28)I think we have established the fact that you are not using a free draining mix..Now you have to work with what you have until you begin to use one, which is very doable.. You can not water in sips and expect a healthy tree..The salts will build over over a short period of time AND your tree will look like that. That is why it's critical that you understand the mix you are working with and flush at least once a month until you do a re pot. That's my point. Your answers have determined in my mind that your watering practices in that mix and the way you use fertilizer is not correct. Dynagrow is just fine although Foliage Pro is better..There is plenty or Iron in in to keep your tree healthy. You should of fertilized your tree right up until at at least October in your Zone and you are still getting cold nights which also affects nutrition...When did you resume fertilizing and how do you use it? How much and how often?...See MoreAnyone have an Instant Pot? Useful, or....
Comments (80)I have both a 3 quart and a 6 quart IP Ultra and use at least one every day, if not both. Also have a Gourmia GAF635 air fryer, which I use almost every day. These have been life changers for me. I have a very bad back and could no longer stand for long periods of time cooking, so was not eating healthy meals. These two tools have now made it possible for me to, once again, eat very healthily. I cook nearly everything in it's frozen state; meat, vegetables, fish, poultry. Also cook fresh vegetables and they are wonderful in the IP or AF. Forgot to mention that I make yogurt about every 1 1/2 in the 6 quart IP in cups about the size of the yogurt purchased in grocery stores. I make it plain and unsweetened, so that I can use it in lieu of sour cream. When I want to eat one, I add one or a mixture of: apple butter, Nutella, jam/preserves, KoolAid, frozen fruit, fresh fruit, etc. One day I wanted a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, but didn't want or need the bread. So I mixed peanut butter and jam into my serving of yogurt; absolutely delicious....See Morebkay2000
