My Favorite Holiday Commercials
Comments (29)That's really good for a local commercial! The local commercials around here are grainy visuals of usually the owner, with family in tow, thanking everybody for spending money at his place and wishing "holiday cheer" or something like that. -------------- The clothing looks so outdated already. Comments (25)Marcolo, hahaha! "contractor". "neck up"! As a medical professional, I thoroughly appreciate that one! Mine, whom I actually think is pretty good, called and asked me to bring him the cabinet layout the other day, so they could start the install. Sure, I have nothing better to do, I finished my morning surgery, run to print it out, and deliver it up there. Never mind that I'd emailed it to all of them a month ago! At this point, I will do whatever it takes to get it done in time. We're already 2 months behind....See MoreI Laugh every time I think of it.
Comments (19)One of the examples of it are putting marshmallows in a jar, then vacuum sealing it. Without the gravity, they expand, probably double in size. Then put them in a bag, vacuum seal them and you'll flatten them. For storing soft items, or even liquids, put them into a container to protect it put it in a bag and then vacuum seal. You can even cover it and poke some holes in the container and a good vacuum sealer will still draw the air out. I don't use the bags for vacuum sealing. I mostly use canning jars or the vacuum containers. If and when I start using it more (again) I'll probably start using some bags again. They're just a little spendy. No need for him to feel stupid. It's a learning experience....See MoreWhat's your all time favorite commercial?
Comments (73)I like the Mayhem commercials, too. The guy reminds me of a kid I went to school with. There was a picante sauce commercial that I liked. A bunch of cowboys around a chuck-wagon asked for more picante sauce. One cowboy checked the jar and said it was made in New York City; the cowboy that deadpans the camera, and says, "Get a rope," reminds me of my brother. Just after my husband passed away, Lowe's had a commercial that I loved, but it also made me sad. It was a young couple, who remodeled their home as they aged, and ended up dancing together as senior citizens. Along that line, my current favorite is the older lady who walks up behind a young woman at the grocery store, and says something like, "Muscle rub cream! Honey, you smell just like my Walter always did!" Voice-over advertising the product, and the camera cuts back to the lady hugging the young woman from behind, snuggling her shoulder. :)...See More- 3 years ago
