Are you wondering what to do with it? Or what to replace it with? A photo of the area would help a lot.

Thanks for responding no I want to replace but I'm not sure that I want a computer desk I might want something else over there but I still need to have a place to put the computer which I do use occasionally but it's really outdated I'll try to send a pic I'm not really good at it though.

What else do you have in the room? Where do you see yourself using the computer?

I haven't had a desktop for years - I work strictly with a laptop these days. Sometimes I use it at the kitchen table, sometimes at a card table in the living room, sometimes in my lay in the recliner. If you upgraded to a new laptop you wouldn't need a desk at all, and you could use it wherever you like.

In a living room, I'd want something attractive that fits your style/decor. Maybe a glass top table-type desk would suffice.

As others have said, for in frequent use, a laptop is easy and unobtrusive. I use an ipad an awful lot.

You haven't stated what your goals are (does it need to match your modern or traditional decor?), what your style is, what your budget is.

If you're on a budget, then look for a desk on OfferUp or Facebook Marketplace. Often people are giving their furniture away.

Thanks to both responses.  I do appreciate your suggestions.  This desk sits close to my TV/entertainment center and gas fireplace.  I'm just wondering what to put over in that corner other than a desk at all!?

I still like using a desktop - larger monitors (I have 2) and larger keyboard. I still need some filing too, for bills and such......I have a tabletop held up by an Ikea's Alex drawer unit on one end and black table legs on the other. I bought the table top from a local woodworker, so I could choose the size and type of wood I wanted. If your budget is limited or your decor is unique, you can find any kind of flat board to work instead - anything from an old door from Habitat For Humanity to a custom cut piece of tempered glass.
