What have you made with your garden produce lately?
Comments (61)O man. All the colorful tasty staff I see here. I am also making something with yellow zuke. There are many ways, stir fry, grill, deep fry, etc. But this time I am making a "stuffed" one. I cut a lid lengthwise, scoop most of the inner contents out, fry it with onions, garlic, paprika, pepper, salt, sausage ... until volume is reduced.I usually make with chicken breast but this time I had sausage handy. Then stuff it back into the zuke, put the lid in, secure by twin and bake it at 350F. ..How long ? Untill it is done. lol. Maybe an hour or so. This is differen kind of stuffing, not the traditional wit lots of rice.. and what not...See Morebooks.. read anything new lately
Comments (17)Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil is probably one book that I read before seeing the movie - and I still enjoyed the movie!!! Unusual, and I have been to Savannah since, and was fascinated by the city!! I don't read nearly enough anymore - the upcoming hospital stay will change that. I love English mysteries - PD James, Deighton, Dick Francis - pure escapism. I am slogging my way through "And No Birds Sang", WWII, Farley Mowat - I love his writing, and it is the stories of the Allies landing in Sicily, and the battles up to Rome. My Dad was there, so I need to put it down often. If you are interested in the sea, Mowat's "Grey Seas Under" is a very moving biography of a tug boat. Yes, a tug boat, and you will come to care for that boat like a friend, or favoured pet!! Nancy. - oh yes, and I loved the mini-series a Year in Provence - how could you not love something with John Thaw in it!!!...See MoreWhat have you made lately?
Comments (43)Even if if Knit Picks Yarns aren't on sale they are still reasonably priced. I buy most of the yarn I knit with from Knit Picks. The only places around Lakeland to buy yarn are Walmart or JOAnn Fabric. I buy the Swish Superwash to knit things for my grandson because he gets dirty and Mama wants him to be clean so she will throw it in the laundry. I knit for her using the lace weights because I know she appreciates hand knitted items. The silk wool blend is soft and smooth and has shine thanks to the silk. Every on who saw it at the auction loved it ....See MoreTried anything new lately?
Comments (13)I'm glad others like Zenni too! Joanie - I'm going to look for that moisturizer. I like Neutrogena Healthy Skin liquid makeup. For reference, it reminds me of Clinique Even Better. I'd call it light to medium coverage. It's slightly dewy. My skin goes back and forth between combination normal/oil to normal/dry. It's the only drugstore foundation I found I like. Boop - Yes, they do the progressives! Thanks for the link. I would think photoshop would fix any tiny imperfections in her hands, but if her hands aren't near perfect I'm sure they can, and will, find someone else. I wanted to pick up almond oil while out and got all side tracked. It's on my list for next time! Sue - I'm glad to hear the Avon products are working! They're ones I'd like to try. I'm still not the most consistent at using face products. Mtnrd - Oh, they sound great! I'm going to try them. I discovered a few weeks ago a real simple caesar salad dressing that's just mayo (I like Hain's safflower mayo), lemon juice, and olive oil. It's so simple and I think it tastes right when on a salad. I really like Lypsyl Bee Smooth lip balm. I wanted to try something different and bought it because I liked the look of the tube. I apparently grabbed the mint kind because it has a slight minty feel that I would prefer it didn't. It goes away after a while. My lips were cracked and sore and after less than a day of use my lips were great. Still are. I always layer something under lipstick and I was impressed that my lips, for the first time, weren't dried out later. It also seems to last on your lips without the need to reapply often. Also like Neutrogena Pure and Free Baby Faces SPF 45 for my face....See More- 3 years ago
