Paint Design Dilemma Exterior

Need help picking exterior colors for gable and accents

Hi all!

I'm looking for some ideas on color options for the front of my small house. We had the brick painted SW Creamy (7012) last year, and it's time to tackle the front triangular gable and the eaves/downspouts. The front gable is pretty sun stained and yellow so it's a bit of an eyesore

The shingles are almost cedar brown so I'm trying to stay in that family (I would've loved a black roof but that's how I got the house). I've painted the shutters, boxes and front door BM Black Beauty, but I'm open to change.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm really struggling to make a decision and could some inspiration. Thanks!

What a cheery little house-it’s adorable!
I’m no pro, but I’d just paint the gable the same as the brick: sw Creamy, and let the front door and the landscaping be the stars.

I think it already looks good. I would not paint gable. I like black shutters and door.

I would suggest the darker color for the main body of the house, and then a lighter color on the forward section with the entry in it. Then, a third color on the round "tower". Darker or lighter, just different. Then pick out the details in the stucco individually, such as the trim around the arches in the white to tie it in with the windows, and the actual interior face of the arch in the blue. I'd also find some pretty tile to put on the steps face, and under the sill of the arch sections. Tile and color accents.

Just wanted to update. I went to SW and they did allow me to buy the paint during the sale and then I can bring it back to be tinted. They also said if I do not use any of my non-mixed paint that I could return it. So I bought 2 gallons more than I estimated, just in case. I am really happy! I save a ton of I also think I am going to go with Anonymous. I think my original problem was that I was hoping for a color and white to really dramatically change my house--- which of course is just plain silly. But I do like the color, so I am thinking of adding shutters and painting them and maybe the garage or front door a fun color that will give the house the personality I am looking for. Thanks again! Caminnc- that iced marble color is really neat. It reminds me of my kitchen/dining room that is done in BM gray wisp. I wonder if that would work as an accent? Now I just need to find a good accent color for SW Annonymous!

I think a mid-tone greenish grey or other color taken from the brick would be great. Whatever you choose, paint your garage door the same color. If you use a light color for the trim, paint the downspouts to match the brick. If you use a darker color for the trim, you can use that same color on the downspouts. I would paint the front door a light color, so you have some contrast to the dark brick, and since it is recessed into the alcove.

Keep the black, it looks good. Maybe a deep sage grayish green on the gable . I think it deserves a little color.

I tend to agree with Izzy... I'd like to add a touch of colour to the gable. Nothing too dramatic. I like the dark trim though.

Please take a look at these options and let me know which one you prefer! While the exterior colour is SW creamy, it leans a bit more gray than stark white (which I quite like actually). I tried to stick with soft greige colours

Based on your 4 photos, I’d definitely paint the gable SW Creamy. The colored gable options all look “off“ to me. Stick with continuity. Adorable house!
