orbit valve flow rate on timer/off timer
Comments (5)itt, I am somewhat confused because once the solenoid coils and moves the pin and cuts off atmospheric pressure in the valve, you should get full flow if the the gate in the valve is fully open. The only thing I can think of is the solenoid pin not quite closing over the atmospheric port completely and therefore the gate doesn't open fully. I actually don't know if this could even happen. There are more experienced people in this forum who troubleshoot system, hopefully they will chime in on this one. I would check the voltage to solenoid for 24V or replace the valve and solenoid and see if there is a difference. Maybe chat with the people who you bought the system from. aloha...See MoreNeed help locating underground sprinkler control valve

Comments (8)All of his solenoids are working with timer's manual operation, so the issue has to be timer internal or with the automatic programming. I read the directions on Permanent Days Off. If they are set to OFF watering will not occur on any days. They all need to be set to ON. "In some areas, watering is prohibited on specific days of the week. If you are using an ODD/EVEN or CYCLIC watering cycle, you can set these days off so you wonâÂÂt violate watering restrictions. 1. Select a program that has an ODD/EVEN or CYCLIC watering cycle (not a CUSTOM cycle). 2. Turn the dial to the day of the week you want to turn OFF. 3. Press OFF. âÂÂDAY ALWAYS OFFâ scrolls across the display. Watering will never occur on this day of the week, regardless of the watering cycle or program. 4. To turn the day of the week back on, press ON. 5. Turn the dial to AUTO."...See MoreFisher Paykel GWL11 diverter valve always off, bad controller? Again?
Comments (4)I remeasured the resistance to the diverter valve and it was again 3.5 kohms which is higher than the speck so that probably needs to be replaced. Also I opened up control board from the plastic casing and did another visual inspection and found that a resistor that traces back to the diverter valve wires was blown. First photo shows an overall and the second a closeup of the blown resistor (in the middle of the picture about 1/4 up from the bottom) I thought about trying to replace just the resistor, but it is a surface mount and my soldering skills are not that great, and I also have no idea of the resistance needed! So long story short I think I need a new diverter valve AND and new control board. Approx. cost is $200, which I think is too much for a 12 year old washer. The good news is that it seems to works just fine on the permanent press setting so we are going to keep using it as is until we get a new one....See MoreMrHIrrigation
