Photos carrera subway tile in bath/shower surround?
Comments (15)I have just finished my Carrera marble project, I used 6x12" and 12x12" on the floor. I also used 1x2" Carrera Basketweave as a mosaic accent on the floor and on the shower wall. We bought 200SF and shipping for under $1,800. The tile was from Venato Carrera and the Basketweave from the same company so it matched Venato Carrera only $11.95 for the Basketweave and $7.00SF for the 6x12". Comments (14)My two bathrooms are as polar opposites as you can possible get! I'll explain: My bathroom (the master ensuite is light (but not white marble, hex floors and white/light gray paint light). Moonlight "travertine like" porcelain floors and walls, Seatones (blue, aqua and sea green) glass tiles, Giallo Ornamentale granite and a light blue ceiling. Dark vanity. Crystal glass sink. The master bedroom and ensuite are totally different from the rest of the house and we're ok with that. Those are private areas. The rest of the house is done in rich warm colors, rich browns, pumpkin, deep golds, plum, dark sage green, bronze and black. DH's bathroom flows with the look of the rest of the house. His granite is mostly black, deep orange, dark gold. His glass sink is a Colbalt Copper color. Floor tiles and tub/shower surround is dark charcoal (basically black with accents of tumbled crema marfil and ORB metals). The walls were just finished today. A beautiful spanish knife texture with a glazed faux finish. Color is reddish bronzed over dark gold base. This is also the bathroom guests will use. It's bold and dramatic. He likes it. I like it too but I much prefer the tranquility of the Caribbean inspired color palette in my bathroom. So yeah, I have no problem with bathrooms looking TOTALLY different <g> Oh, they ARE on opposite ends of the house :)...See MoreNeed help from pros for master bath tile choices
Comments (5)We're voting for the White Carrara Basketweave which has a more timeless appeal and will work well with your white subway tile walls. That fits your classic vibe requirement. The eclectic vibe can be achieved and further enhanced with the other elements, including vanity, hardware, lighting, faucet, and décor. Would love to see photos of the completed bathroom in the future. Good luck! :)...See MoreGrout too dark in master bath
Comments (26)I think after the bulkier items are installed (tub, toilet, vanity), it will help "hide" some of the floor tiles area which I think will help to look less busier. Great choice on the tiles! I love dolomite marble as well! My bathroom is also in work and I have 12"x24" dolomite as floor with gray grout as well. I have solid white Swanstone for the shower wall with similar shower niche set up :) I am sure you will like it after everything is done! I too second guess my grout, but like thinkdesignlive said, I picked gray grout for future maintenance advantage over white grout (also to save money as I used the same gray grout for the other two bathrooms with light gray and dark gray floor tiles)!...See MoreBeverlyFLADeziner
