Bathrooms Design Dilemma Flooring

HELP picking a grout color for MB glass tile walls, pebble floor

We are trying to choose between Silver Shadow and Frosty Laticrete epoxy grout. Should we do one colour for both areas or white for glass wall tiles and grey for stones? It's a walkin curbed shower. Main bathroom floors are a platinum grey porcelain wood grain tile. I only have the paper sample of Silver Shadow, at the store they showed us both colours on the rocks. Any and all suggestions and opinions appreciated, thanks in advance.

UPDATE - This is what the finished shower looks like, thanks for the suggestions, went with the Silver Shadow everywhere.

FYI -

Many glass tile manufacturers do not allow the use of epoxy grout.

Is the glass rated for shower use? (Thermal shock ratings)

Strongly suggest using sliced stone instead of rounded on the floor. The floor to wall joint MUST be flexible or you will have cracked glass.

I'll leave grout colors for the designers. I felt it was more important to address potential failures. If you have a Tile Setter they would have already discussed these concerns. If not there is another area of concern. Best.

Since you need a bump I'll chime in... I prefer charcoal grout with black pebbles. A few times I've blended grout colors together blending charcoal grout with a dark gray for a "light" charcoal or a really "dark" gray, or blending carbon black with any grout to darken it. That's my personal preference with the black pebbles. With other pebbles more contrast is okay, but with black pebbles I'm always drawn towards dark grout with minimal contrast. Funny thing is with dark tiles I like dark or light grout. It's the black pebbles that sway me to dark on dark for whatever reason.

You know what, sherwhy, There have been unglazed hex porcelain tiles in my house and they are as white now as they probably were when they were first set in cement, in 1876. In those days, they did not grout the tiles but rather, they set them directly in cement. We have them in the mud room and vestibule where they have seen loads of traffic over the past 134 years. None are chipped, all are clean and crisp looking. So if you like hex tiles, just make sure you get good quality ones, in dense porcelain, none of that porcelain painted ceramic stuff, and you'll be fine.

I don't know if this will help you, but I've played a lot with tile and grout color on the Susan Jablon website. If you click on the custom tile blender then you can select your tile color and put every and any grout color with it. The tiny rainbow bar has all the colors of tile, so select the range of colors you want to see in the larger row of tiles at the top. Then you click on the color you want to get it in the active palette, quick fill and the whole page will fill with your shade of tile. When you do the custom grout, you can see what effect different grouts have on the color of the tile. There are probably other sites that have this, too. Good luck! Glass is rated for shower and the pebbles are flat. I misunderstood the tile store rep, epoxy grout is only on the floor of shower not walls. Thanks for catching that!
