On close examination of our options, we've determined that LVP flooring is what we need for our 600 sq ft living area, replacing vinyl/linoleum that is probably about five decades old. I'm a little concerned about VOCs from LVP flooring (as well as from the adhesive). My understanding is that some brands greatly minimize the VOCs. Now, we will install in the fall, when the house is open, and we can have the house fan on continuously for a few weeks. But my question is, what should the contractor do, procurement-wise, to minimize VOCs? What adhesives are best, and what brands of LVPs are optimal in this regard?
