I am assuming that your ceiling height is 8ft and the wall length is approximately 8ft as well. I find that oversized pieces are more dramatic and bring colour into a space without clutter or too much contrast. I would lean toward the large piece (#3) simply because it is oversized but I have one concern and that is your hall table. You can use multiple pictures but they should be same size and frame so that they group reads as one large piece (see example below). I think it may be too low and small in scale for the space and for a larger piece. I think the console could be low and wider with a heavier scale (like a bench) or taller and wider to support the art and perhaps a basket with towels or a dry flower arrangement (assuming you don't have a curious pet or small children). I have attached some pics of lighter finished wood. Finally beach themes can be less literal. The use of colours and textures that remind one of ocean side, "beachy" places with a few references work really well too. You have already incorporated blues which is a great start, natural woods, linen and sandy colours will give you the same feeling and be very elegant. You could even add some panel moulding to the pace to add texture. Nothing too elaborate but an extra layer of details to finish off the space. Don't be shy with lighting and other accessories (e.g. baskets) a hook for a hat and light shawl (all complimentary in colour). This will help you to bring some of the colours in your home to the front door or be bold and paint out your door! Entries are so much fun. Good Luck!H...See MoreWhich entry door works the best with English Tudor house?
Comments (31)If having glass for light is important -- more important to you than the Tudor style -- forget the Tudor style for your pending door purchase and go with your favorite style. YOUR style should be the front door to YOUR home. You could save the current door in the attic or basement or garage -- putting it back in place if you later want to sell the house specifically as a "Tudor". If you want double doors and glass, choose that. I don't understand these supposed (extremely low) "prices" unless this is for toy doll house doors -- know what you're getting and from whom you're getting it ... and what info you're giving out to do so ... would be wary of this site. But. I do like the look of this double door. https://eoutlet.shopsfashion2021.com/content?c=wooden%20front%20doors%20with%20glass%20panels&id=28...See MoreHelp me complete decor for my townhome's entry
Comments (41)I now have a very fancy laundry room with a wool rug. The runner looks very good in my second floor laundry. Here's a pic of the entry space without the rug. I'm now looking for suggestions for another rug. I can't go too light because I'll be coming in from the garage, but I would like something nice and soft to step on....See MorePoll: which ottoman works better in this room?
Comments (26)Thank you so much, Flo!!!! These mock-ups are amazing. I love your ideas so much. These pieces are great- especially love the writing desk and chairs you found. Looks like with or without the desks, you’re suggesting the console move to the long wall. So then would you put anything else on the short wall other than art? (Furniture?) We considered a tv in there too but maybe that would be too many things going on in one room? THANK YOU!...See Morebonnaccra
