Ok, I'm totally supposed to be working right now, but it's not my fault....when a song pops into my head, I have to let it out! I should know better than to open FNM while I still have things to do! Anyway, these two songs were written by the artists for their children -- love them both. (the songs, not the children!)

When I was 15, I entered a contest in Seventeen Magazine and won an autographed album by Dino, Desi & Billy. They used crayons to autograph it!

My dad played the piano and sang many songs to us. This was one.

Carly Simon was inspired by her children to write this song.

Best local music from the early 60s part of my childhood was beach and surf guitar. Beach Boys, Dick Dale, Jan + Dean. It changed later with British Invasion and LA/SF bands of the mid to later 60s.

I also liked surf music, but the first album I bought was by Bobby Vee

I think I identified with Bobby Vee because I looked a lot like him, especially in this photo.

This one popped into my head immediately . I remember my dad would sing it. Recently, while flipping through the channels I saw the movie ( which I don't think I ever did.)
