I'm just a homeowner but I would also go with middle 1 on top row, it's darker now & I don't care for it, doesn't match as well as the middle top 1 which I think will give the house a warmer look, it blends in beautifully with the brick. Dark color makes the foundation area more "important looking" when brick should be the focal point.

Maybe you can try a large swatch of the finalists and see what happens after a couple weeks. It depends on what color your "dirt" is. Your side yard is all paved so I don't really know that you would pick up much from the ground. The light stucco on my building bases did not seem to get too dirty. Some of the darker colors were darker than the actual dirt or airborne "soot" or whatever it is, and showed dirt more. Kind of like a dark car (or black pants to use your analogy)...So it depends on your local environment.

I have paid lots of money over the years for professional advise ... sometimes I take and sometimes I don't. There isn't just one perfect color for your house/trim/door. If you hire 5 more color consultants I will bet that they all come up with different suggestions and I bet none will say that your house looks fine just as it is ... after all you paid them to come out and make suggestions! You seem to be stuck on what was said by the consultant, but obviously you didn't agree with her or you wouldn't be posting here! It really is ok if you do your own thing, really! If I bought your house today, this is what I would do: - paint house body BM Nantucket Grey - paint house trim a non-stark white color - ditch the shutters (I call them wasp condos) and beef up the trim around the windows - paint the front door a nice glossy deep red from Fine Paints of Europe - solid granite latern posts, for birdhouse too - since I hate having to paint them - paint fence same white color as trim - get rid of asphalt and replace with pavers That's what I would do. Congratulations on your new home - how exciting! I would not paint the walls grey/blue/green due to the orange/yellow wood. Those colors would look nice in your home but may feel a little old-fashioned to you. In my opinion, grey has been overdone and it's time for something fresher. I would paint both the walls and the wood trim the same soft white to give it a more modern feel. The trim is not very substantial so just paint it out altogether. Bring in color with your furniture or art. When you eventually replace the flooring you can think about changing the trim too. Look at Benjamin Moore OC-117 Simply White, or perhaps OC-118 Snowfall White or OC-149 Decorator's White.
