Our existing flooring is being repalced - and we had a devil of the time finding something to replace it.

We settled on this option from Kentwood that ticked a lot of our boxes:

European Oak

Wide-ish Plank

Light Tone

Natural Finish

Some character, but not rustic.

Decent thickness/wear layer

I was really looking for a smooth finish, but this is wire-brushed with a light texture (I wanted to avoid heavy scraping and saw or mill marks - our selection has only a little texture - but it is there). We couldn't find a better color match for what we wanted than this one though - so we went with it over a

Now I'm having second thoughts and maybe we should have gone with a smooth surface. The concern is is that the light texture will trap grime and dirt and it'll end up being a maintenance headache.

We run a Roomba over the exisitng floor once a week or so. But is this going to be a bigger concern on the wire-brushed finish? A little worried we made a big mistake. Anyone who has a wire-brushed plank - is this a headache?
