you can read them anytime you just choose the book in your kindle library and tell it to put it on your kindle for android app then it is on your device to read at any time. to use barnes and noble online you need to have an account set up that just means a user name and password but they do ask that you put a credit card number on file with them so that if you want to purchase a book it will be able to do that automatically, anytime you get a book even a free one you go through the process just like if you were buying it, only the total is zero, and it gets put in your nook library, you can then access it with your nook reader app just like you do kindle and download it to your device. Aldiko has an area where it lets you put in a url address for where you want to get books from and it also contains list of book sources you can just choose to go to, but what I do is anytime I find a book I want (I always get epub format) I download the book to my pc, I keep a folder on it that I put all my ebooks in, then I take the sd card that I use for the device put it into my card reader and copy my books from that folder into the sd card. When I put the sd card into the device Aldiko can access it and I can read the books. On the aldiko home screen there is an sd card icon you click that find the folder that has your books in it, sometimes it is in the ebooks folder, in my recent one it was in the external folder, I just click through the folders till I find the books, put a check mark in front of the book you want to read or you can do all of them and it will say move to Aldiko or something like that. You just leave the SD card in the device. I am not sure about your gift card. how that would work you may have to do it from your pc?? never tried that. I am still learning new things daily too. In fact I just downloaded that FBreader yesterday to give it a try. If you do not like the browser on your device there are some very good ones you can try out, Dolphin, Opera mini, firefox, and soon there will be a chrome version, several others too. you can add them to try them then delete them if you don't like it, you will be given the choice of which browser to use each time you need to use it. Dolphin is very slick and has the tabs.

wow sorry I had never seen that I was asked a question and never answered it. I bought my pandigital novel at bed bath and beyond they can be bought at many locations which are listed on their website including Radio Shack and Kohl's. Mine ran me right at $100 with their 20% off coupon and a rebate. The one I have is the 7" white tablet. It is a full android tablet now with their latest update so you can access apps from the android market, you can surf, email, play your music, watch videos, youtube etc, pretty much everything you can do on a laptop. If you are familiar with any of the android phones it is very similar. I thought if I was going to pay over a hundred dollars for something I wanted it to do as much as possible not just be an ereader which is why I went with this PDN. The ereader part is excellent also and since you can now use android apps you can use the kindle app to read kindle books and the nook app, lots of ereader apps are available so you can choose the one you like best gives you lots of flexibility. It of course does have wifi connectivity which works great. We have had several very long threads about the PDN and ereaders over on the computer help forum, you can search the topic there and find much more. There are a lot of people on GW that got Pandigitals too. the lookbook reader I got at CVS pharmacy when they had them on for $49 it only does ereader functions and does color and have wifi and is linked with the kobo bookstore. http://www.pandigital.net/

Download the free (and very reputable) Calibre program and then you can get the library books in ePUB format and convert them to Kindle (.azw) format. Pam_25f -- I don't know why Windows Player is entering into this at all. Download the Kindle book to your computer, and make note of where you've saved it. It's easiest if you create a folder and name it "Kindle downloads" or something like that. Connect your Kindle to your computer using the USB cable that came with the Kindle. Now, open "My Computer" and go to the folder where you downloaded the Kindle book. Now, do the "copy/paste" thing to copy it to the "Documents" folder on your Kindle. Disconnect your Kindle from the computer, and you'll have the book on it, available to read.

I name mine my Pandigital is ANDI for obvious reasons. My sylvania is sylvia. My lookbook is I can not reacall if I named it or not but my husband has one exactly like it so I have put a pink band around the cover so we can spot the difference easily. In some of the post on computer help others have mentioned the names for theirs. My friend named her Kindle Ken. by the way anyone with Kindles I was just at Tuesday Morning and they had some fabulous deals on leather covers I bought one in hot pink for $14 I am giving it to my sister for hers. Unfortunately none they had would fit my sylvania which is the only one I have that would need one. They also had the type that actually hook in to the side of the Kindle like the original ones did.
