Trying to replace a nut on an Cuisinart air fryer

Sean Miller

I have a Cuisinart TOA-60 air fryer/ toaster oven. I like it. The fan was making a ton of racket scraping metal on metal. I took off the back to get a closer look. The nut that keeps the fan blades attached to the rotor had fallen off, and the blades were scraping that grill.

This picture shows the unit upside down.

I called Cuisinart and rather than just send me a new nut, they want to replace the WHOLE UNIT!! They won't even tell me what size nut I need.

Now I have access to metric nuts and that bolt was just BARELY too big for an M6 nut. Does anyone have any idea what size I need? Probably American nut sizes. I have to order my nuts online, so I can't just run to the hardware store and try a bunch.

Thanks in advance for your help.
