I'm with the same issue right now.. which combi-oven did you get and why? I've heard Thermador has a good combo, although Gaggenau has tempted me with their beauty ovens too.. plz tell me your experience with your decision.

I want the broil feature and only those two offer it... wolf does not. Since i will be putting the cso with a single convection under it and another single convection under a cooktop next it I don't think there is an option to mix appliance, While Miele's CSO has a broiler element, it's only about as powerful as what you'd expect for an "average" residential oven. I find it works to give dishes a little bit of heat from the top, but it isn't really very useful for char broiling. That's a problem with a lot of ovens. If you want to get a good broiler, you need to buy a higher-end gas oven (those often advertise what they call "IR" broilers), or you need to buy a Bluestar wall oven. That is one of the few electric ovens that is known for having a very good broiler element. Putting a wall oven under a cooktop doesn't generally work all that well. Not only do you have to negotiate the clearance requirements between the wall oven and the cooktop, there also is the problem that wall ovens typically sit closer to the floor. With in-wall installation, that's awesome. But when you are already in a bottom cabinet, that means the door is too close to the floor and it's very awkward to access. As for mixing and matching, I honestly wouldn't worry too much. Nobody is really going to notice after a few weeks. It's a little more noticeable when the units are directly next to each other. But even that doesn't matter much. We have a stack of Miele CSO and SpeedOven in the wall, and a Bluestar range right next to it. I don't think anybody has spotted the different brands yet. We also have a paneled SubZero fridge, but we installed a Miele handle, as it happened to be cheaper and a design that worked better for us.

Agree with Dana above that my speed oven is only serving as a microwave at this time. However its in a very visible part of my kitchen above the single wall oven so it looks great. the wolf range top is a workhorse, and so simple. If it wasn’t for the red knobs, there would be no hint of arrogance about them. i have barely used my wall oven so im so glad i didnt get a double oven. I have the sub zero column paneled 36 inch fridge / 36 inch freezer and i stare at it daily and thank my lucky stars for them. it costs more than my car but in the grand scheme of things/ cost of the remodel this kitchen is the best part of the house and will be a factor in its sale price more than any extra fancy millwork or heavy duty sound proofing or fancy tiles or whatever we spent $$$ on… in sum, spend the money on your appliances, cut it elsewhere.

I also have a Wolf induction cooktop and a wok gas module, which I got because I was afraid of getting all induction and hating it. Turns out, I rarely use the gas anymore. Only for the pots I still have that aren't induction-friendly. It takes a little while to get used to touch controls vs. knobs, but the cooking is fantastic. More responsive than gas, both in getting things up to temperature and then back down. The cooktop gives off no heat so when you have a lot of things on the stove at once, it's not as hot as when you cook on gas (the pots themselves and what's in them give off heat). And clean up is amazing. Mine is 6 years old and still looks brand new when it's clean. The downside is that the touch controls don't work when your fingers are wet, so you have to dry hands before changing temps. And the rings are a little tough to see - they're subtle. But I think the newer Wolf models do a better job of making the rings more visible. At least the 36" does. I'm completely getting rid of gas in the next house.
