Front loader shopping, king sized bedding, Electrolux ?s
Comments (73)Hi cj47 We really like our EL wahser/dryer and have had zero problems. On the washer we usually add extra water to the cycles just to get a better wash and rinse. To tell the truth we haven't tried it without the extra water but we've heard people complain about other front loaders and that they wish they had the option to add more water. We leave the washer door open when we're not using it so the door gasket dries out. Also we'll occasionally wipe the gasket and glass in the door with used towels as we put them in the washer and we haven't had any strange smells from the door gasket. The washer uses very little detergent. I suggest you use less than recommended by Electrolux. The dryer has been great too. I've used the steam freshen cycle to take the wrinkles out of clothes I want to wear but are not yet dirty (or not too dirty to wear!). This worked well. Our contractor and plumber scratched their heads at why we needed a water supply for the dryer... The programming is super easy. My wife usually doesn't like programmable controls but after the first couple of tries she has not had any problem with them, or with the electronic wave touch controls on the Electrolux Icon double ovens. Good luck! Billy...See MoreRough Linen post continued
Comments (54)I am definitely going to order the bath mat, too. I think I will enjoy the look of it as much as the feel. I have a terry one now, but this one would be nice. I would like to get a couple king size pillow slips just because I like having the extra fabric to completely cover the ends of the pillows. Will probably get the apron instead of the pinafore. I need to spread out my purchases, though. Oh, and I definitely need the bed skirt for the downstairs guest room! Jeepers, I could go on and on. Oh and I washed the sheet, summer cover, and pillow slips today. I put the sheet on the bed to dry and stretched and smoothed it. No need for ironing! It looks wonderfully smooth. I did iron the pillow slips. Looks so nice! The summer cover is rinsing now....See MoreHelp! HUGE stain on my Caesarstone
Comments (108)This thread is a keeper! It has mystery and intrigue, almost a "whodunnit ". "Only The Shadow knows..." Heehee. Of course, the outcome was the best part, and what a huge relief that had to be. Yay for you! BTW, I recently had a similar experience, where I thought I had a huge scrape, causing a dull spot on my granite, with no clue how it happened. I tried to scrub it off, scrape it with my fingernail, etc. in the hope that it was not scratched, but that horrible spot remained. I showed DH, who agreed that it looked like a bad scrape. I was researching granite repair in my area, and looking at ballpark costs, disappointed this could happen to my nearly "bullet proof" stone. After a few days, the spot seemed to disappear. I have no idea what kind of crud was on there, but whatever it was finally came off. I laughed at myself, imagining someone coming to give me an estimate, realizing that it was some sort of smeared food item superglued to my countertop and thinking, "insert blonde joke here". LOL. I just love a happy ending. :)...See MoreMy first attempt out of ABB! Oh please just shoot me now!
Comments (49)Kiktx, it is not rude to ask that at all. I will probably change my seating orientation around at some point. But the reason I put it that way for now is that wall behind the couch looks really bad as it is still unfinished. That picture I posted above was actually taken before we added the windows. Those were just screens behind the couch! The original house is single wall construction and the only windows were a couple jalousie type in the bathrooms. That's what they call a 'coffee shack' here. Plus, we always hang out on the lanai whenever we want to enjoy the views. Only time we are inside sitting on the couch is after it's dark anyways. :-) Thanks again everyone for all your help. Once I get the sample tiles, I will ask for advice on which looks the best....See Morerrah
