So weird. I just got through with this. 1. Aching pain pretty constant. Dentist tried to locate the cause. Not really conclusive. Sent me to the endodontist. 2. Endodontist diagnosed a bad filling in the tooth that seemed to be aching, very old. And we did a root canal. I then left on vacation. What timing. 3. Holy cow the pain! It just started. Different than before. One drop of cold water and it was like the electric chair. Even a fast inhale. I thought "crap, he did the root canal in the wrong tooth." 4. 7 days and 80 advils later, the pain is gone. Vanished. Just like that. 5. Go to my regular dentist. He says he thinks he sees something...a small old filling in between 2 teeth popped out. Maybe that's the source. Going to have it filled again Monday. But really, since the cruise I haven't had any pain. 6. I have a feeling I'm grinding. I get more aware of clenching, and I think I will get a guard to test it out. Good luck!

You can start a new thread devoted just to your garden. Be sure to add photos of your particular garden and info about your general location and soil. What plants are you putting into the bed that haven’t been happy? Generally a failure to thrive is either due to soil, watering, or a plant choice that isn’t appropriate for your particular setting. Since this is a raised bed and plants have done fine here previously, your problem may be the soil used to fill the beds originally if it wasn’t native soil. Often bagged “soils” will break down because they are high in peat, and over several seasons will become extra fine textured and dense, reducing the movement of needed oxygen and water to and from the roots. Try digging a hole several inches down -what does it feel like? Wet, moist, dry? Loose and crumbly or dense? If you put a cup of the soil in a quart jar with water and shake it up, how long does it take to sink, and if left to completely settle, how thick are the layers and do they look like soil particles or organic material? I could be completely off base, but I am guessing based on the little bit of info you gave us as to what the problem might be.

Love all your babies! These threads always make me smile. Our home is down one, after loosing our old man recently. He was 13yo (left). Our Lab is 12.5yo. We thought we were going to loose him two weeks ago. He has a brain tumor that causes seizures. The are usually spread a good bit apart, but he had 2 in 3 days, and looked just awful. Thank goodness he perked back up because DH was already upset about loosing his other buddy. Our #1 female dog tore her ACL and Meniscus 4 days after loosing the old man. Talk about an upset mama! Luckily she had successful surgery, sailed through her 6 weeks of crate/down time, and is working well through her 6 weeks of still being leashed. She is 7yo, but we've only had her about 2yrs. She is the sweetest dog I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Pre-surgery pic: Post-surgery, having some out-of-crate time with me: The tiniest, but not youngest, is 10yo. She misses the old man. He was her BFF. Even the cats are getting on up there. This guy is 12yo: This guy is approximately 10yo, and we've had him 7 years.

Lea the storms missed us here. There was wind damage in about 4 locations, 3 in Ohio, and 1 fairly far north of here. We got a hint of rain. between the time I decided to go out and get the pulled onions and when I actually got out there. I think we got about 1/100" We need rain bad here. Good news is we're in the middle of 6 days in a row no hotter than the 70's. The city closed all the pools. I got a letter from my health insurer approving "Removing and Replacing your single lead Defibrillator". I only bring this up because I jokingly said they R&R'd my pacemaker not knowing how up I am on current terminology.
