More food controversy
Comments (21)I remember they mentioned eating bacon and coffee together for breakfast and my mother had that every morning for breakfast and she said I have to give up what I love. And I remember them mentioning weiners and so the scouts and those groups were not allowed their hotdogs and what a huge protest there was. The environment is causing alot of health issues. Frozen foods, why do'nt you talk about them, look at how many survive on frozen meals and they aren't good for you, can cause health issues like cancer of colon, etc, the chemicals are so bad.Why don't they give us good foods without all these horrible chemicals that are causing these health issues in our lives, so many of us have them and they won't get better. And eating fruits and veggies, look at how the spray foods and we get foods brought in from countries that use stuff on them we haven't for long time. They pulled years ago sprouts from our stores due to fecal matter found on too much. Bring back our farmers and growers that will grow good safe foods for us to eat, that is what we want and need in our lives, good safe foods. kathy...See MoreAnderson Cooper as host of Jeopardy?
Comments (29)Alex actually advised Todd Crain to apply for his job, once he left Jeopardy. He told him he would put in a good word for him, but that his replacement will and should be, up to the network. So it's highly doubtful the network will go with someone who is not really well known. But at least Mr. Crain has a personal note written to him from Alex Trebek, who clearly felt he'd be well suited for the job. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KPjNZwZOWk...See MoreNew Jeopardy host
Comments (27)Current host is David Faber. I guess he reports on finance. He's good. Jeopardy! never said these were tryouts, just guest hosts. But it has been fun to taste them as possible contenders. I'd never expect someone to be like Alex. After all, he was not the same a Art Fleming. Mind you, he didn't exactly replace Fleming. So r situation is different. Interesting that the current champion has played under 3 different hosts now, and will likely play under a 4th! It will be interesting later to see what he has to say about that. Many champions say they prepared by learning Alex's rhythm, but Matt would have to figure it out in 10 minutes, to chime in properly the rest of the game....See MoreRandom thoughts about Jeopardy
Comments (24)"Mattea shifted. At first I just found her quirky, then I began to really like her, but by the end she was kind of annoying." I mentioned in another thread some weeks ago that I didn't enjoy watching when she was on. Annoying is a good word to use for how she came across. I had a funny feeling about her when I heard her announced as (I think) a "law school tutor". A job title I'd never heard of. Neither law schools nor its students have or use tutors, to my knowledge. I also wondered how and why someone so young could have finished college, then finished law school, and would be working as a tutor and not as a lawyer. Well, it turned out that she was an LSAT prep instructor. Format of the test and how to take it, what material to prepare for, and the like. Customers pay for insights, techniques and strategies to score well on the LSAT. The LSAT is for law school admissions what the SAT and ACT were for college admissions. Instructors receive lessons and curricula materials from their employers. To instruct a prep class requires no legal knowledge or education. Describing it as she did must have been intended by her to inflate what she did. It's unrelated to law or law school, is usually a part time job and requires little else besides a college education. Intentional phoniness. Compare that to humble man Ryan who described his job in honest terms - he was announced to be a "ride share driver". Not a logistical fulfillment analyst, a location implementation consultant, or a transportation solutions provider....See Moreblfenton
