Comments (37)I think Katie is doing really well so far. For those saying she doesn't appear natural and relaxed, I get it, but although she has spent her career in front of a camera, game show hosting still has to be very, very different than anything she's done. The timing, the tempo, the rules of the game, getting straight who goes next, all while maintaining personality, contestant interaction, and pronunciation of all of those names and places she's likely never heard of.....all in a relatively short amount of time has to be a huge challenge! And, to have to go after two gentlemen who have significant familiarity with the show and all of its nuances? I give her a ton of credit....See MoreJeopardy: A couple of questions
Comments (9)I like Alex Trebek, Ken Jennings, and the current host who is a producer... in that order. I don't dislike them but I don't know why. I find him to be entertaining, without overpowering. Seems like he tries to sublimate his own personality, in reverence to the show and Alex. He comes across, to me, as someone who tries to pay so much tribute to Alex, never is trying to steal his limelight, merely extend the one that Alex earned. And, as has already been explained, he's just a Band-Aid. I'm happy to try on different hosts. I'm hoping for Ken Jennings to be the host ultimately. Much as they did with Jay Leno and The Tonight show....See MoreJeopardy: Buzzy Cohen hosting the Tournament
Comments (21)I saw this thread yesterday and realized I hadn't watched Jeopardy this week so I made a point to watch last night. I thought he was surprisingly good as host, and I have to admit he's not who I thought I remembered. I agree with MyBiz that Ken Jennings was the best with Aaron second. I didn't think anyone bombed but I just didn't think they were worth having back. Ded, I had the same thing happen yesterday where somehow I was signed out, and even though I have it set up autofilling with my user info it kept telling me it was invalid. Then I would try it again and I was in. Something bizarro with houzz....See MoreHow's Jeopardy doing?
Comments (44)I'm fine with Mike Richards. Before Alex Trebek began hosting Jeopardy! he had hosted several other game shows, like High Rollers, Classic Concentration, and To Tell the Truth. Mike's resume isn't much different. I really wouldn't expect any of the journalists would want to be a permanent game show host, not even a prestigious game show. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Trebek...See More- 5 years ago
