I don’t know if it’s common to mix levers and knobs, but I did it in my previous home. The levers were used on coat and linen closets that had a slightly different door style. I think it’s fine to use a different style on exterior doors. I installed black matte hardware on my current home’s exterior doors because I needed to change the locks. The interior doors have antique brass hardware and are not worth changing, especially since the hinges are all antique brass.

With trim, it’s really up to you. I used 1x3 pine on my previous home which was very shaker or modern. I’ll do something more traditional on this house. Ribbed trim can be beautiful in a beachy home.

I think ORB is fine. Think about the British Colonial style used in the islands, with dark wood. Beachy doesn’t have to be all driftwood and shells. Find decor you love and use that. It will come together.
