Comments (5)Here's the maple. First pic I am facing north, second I'm facing east. I included a picture of the London Plane because I like it so much. My question, again, concerns the timing of the manganese. I'd like to do it now rather than in the fall, for convenience sake. The arborist's treatment has been effective in de-yellowing most of the leaves. I'm wondering if it is necessary to wait until spring becuase, for convenience sake, I would like to do it this fall....See MoreTreated myself, this morning and it felt so good.
Comments (13)I'm also one that doesn't enjoy the hair salon. I just find it a waste of time. I started using clippers on my husband a couple of years ago and got pretty good at it. This summer during the high heat periods the natural curls began to feel like a behive and I took the clippers to myself. I love it. Sometimes the back is a bit tricky but I get through it. But I have many friends that have weekly visits on a specified date and time and they wouldn't have it any other way. It's just not for everyone....See MoreSo nice to treat myself, today! :o)
Comments (9)Yes, and don't you find some places are better than others? I am not in the habit of mani and pedis because I find my nails sharp splitting if I go too often. My toes are fine, but I don't bother with them so much in the winter. My daughter gave me a gift certificate that someone gave to her. It is on the second floor of a hair salon, so not a place that you would think to just walk into. The gift card was for $25.00 and this was for a standard pedi. They not only gave a nice foot massage, but they also used hot stones as part of the treatment. They put plastic bags over your feet after they were dry. You then put on your shoes and socks. I guess they don't do this part in the summer. It really felt like a spa treatment. My only complaint was two women did not stop talking as they both got their manis and pedis. When my nails were drying, I saw a small sign post about being respectful of the spa environment. So, they really do want it to be restful....See MoreI splurge and couldn't restraint myself today!
Comments (18)I went to No frills, one of the grocery chain's "seasonal" garden centres. I shouldn't have said "nursery" giving everyone a wrong impression. The deal was 2 bushes for $28. I just grabbed and never looked back..lol. I am debating at the moment to get westerland but the 2 pots they have are small plants. Then I saw About Face which I am also debating to get. Hmmm.....I need to check the other nurseries before I go back. Originally I was going to get 2 Julia Childs (after seeing Diane's beautiful photos) and 2 Strike it Rich. But then I realized I need to sacrifice other possible choices. I am hoping to check out other places before I make any final choices... I've always wanted Voodoo too since I seen her in a gardening book. The only thing is that she is supposed to be for warmer zones. I think I really need to protect this rose in the winter....See MoreFun2BHere
