I think your trim is the perfect color right now, to go with your brick. I wouldnt change a thing. Give the paint a refresh, if its needed, but, keep it the same as it is.

I think you'd get more bang for your buck by loosening up some of that boxy, rigid landscaping. When it is growing above your windowsills, it is overgrown. 19 year old landscaping needs a refresh to something more open, airy and less formal than shaped, high-maintenance, squared off hedges. Your trim appears to match your mortar, and that is a good look. What about upgrading the garage doors? Have you considered that? You might be able to pull off carriage style doors for a new look.

I also agree that the shrubs have not been properly prune. Look for a more natural shape.

Not warmer paint for the trim and IMO I think you should consider painting the shutters the same white color as the trim.

I would work on making the garage door more interesting. At least ad windows to the top panel.

Perhaps a lantern with moustache brackets would add something special to the brick over the garage doors.

White house with white shutters could be very sophisticated.

Agree with comments on your shrubbery; plant something new whose mature size and shape is lovely and does not need to be so rigidly pruned. I too like the idea of changing your garage doors to ones with windows. If you want to paint something,paint your front door your favorite color.

I’m going with Beverly’s suggestion to change the garage doors and we are going with a carriage style with arched glass on top. I still love the black shutters. Question.... should the garage doors match the lighter current trim color or should they be a shade darker to match the siding and have the lighter trim at the top?

I like your new garage door choice. Go with the trim color on the garage. There is some trim around the garage doors so one color will do it.

Excuse me? Who suggested the garage door change? Well, never mind! As for painting it, since it isn't directly next to any siding, I wouldn't worry about matching it to that. Match to the trim or closer to the brick color so it doesn't pop out too much.

Have you looked into the greige family? Those all seem a bit too light, IMO.

I strongly suggest getting a bunch of poster board, cut it into narrow strips and paint them the trim colors you are considering. The tiny squares from the paint store are too small to help make a decision of this magnitude. Or buy the colors you like from Samplize and cut THEM into strips you can tape to the house. Most of the whites are looking very bright and the same. You need larger samples.
The choice is important so take the time to “see” the different options.

In the second photo the top sample looks more ivory/cream and less bright white. What color is it?

I think all are too light. Find something closer to your trim color, and take it to the paint store to see if it can be color matched, if you cant match it with a paint chart, or sample.
