Shoe or no shoe in tile entryway near wooden floor

We are renovating our kitchen, main floor bathroom, and redid the tile in the entryway. Our house was built in 1985 and has a more traditional look; however, prefer a more modern style. Overall, our style for the house is transitional- pushing for more modern where we can, but keeping with the look of the house.

Our current dilemma is whether or not to have a shoe on the entryway tile. The rest of the main floor is wood and does have a shoe. We have a metal legged console table that place near the front door and my concern is that it will stick out too far from the wall. Our tiler recommended a shoe given that some of the tiles along the wall are uneven with each other. It was also mentioned that this would help ease the transition from tile to wood floor by not having the shoe stop mid baseboard near the main floor bathroom. We welcome any input on this!
