What to do with a Large Blank Wall in Kitchen??

I've a large blank wall in the kitchen of my townhouse (last photo). Ideas please of what to do with the blank wall following the style of decor with the kitchen table, hanging light, and family room decor. Colors in family room are are blues, greens, little coral, and neutral beiges. Materials I've used are vases, candles, family photos, rectangular basket on ottoman, pillows, throws. Kitchen does not have to be those colors but it should blend, Kitchen wall is roughly measures at 16' long. The kitchen opens into a sun room, could use ideas for wall decor in there too (buffet table doesn't have to stay, can be replaced) but primary focus is the kitchen. Attached photos are taken facing the table, to the left is the family room and to the right is the sun room. Added photo of TV console in family room in case any other furniture pieces will be recommended, although no change permitted to puppy decor :). Thank you for your ideas and help!

A combo of three types of shrubs in clumps, two evergreen and two blooming. For evergreens, look at small rhodies like the smallest PJM cultivar, 'Checkmate' which in 10 years in my garden has remained at 3' in all directions, one of the smaller coniferous evergreens such as a slow-growing or small Thuja or Chamaecyparis. There are small Kalmia/Mountain Laurel cultivars which will be a bit more $ in general. Deciduous shrubs could include plants such as the smaller red-twigged dogwood cultivars like 'Kelseyii' or smaller Hydrangea paniculata including 'Bobo' or early 'Quickfire' or even one of the 3'-4' spiraeas which have flowers, some have blue or gold summer foliage, and many have autumn color. Fothergilla 'Mount Airy' hasn't exceeded 4' in my garden in 10+ years, and it has early spring flowers along with stunning late fall color. Underplanted with an attractive groundcover like Veronica 'Georgia Blue' or Carex 'Ice Dance' or Geranium 'Biokovo' or for a bit more money, hakone grass AKA Japanese forest grass, it would have all season interest but be low maintenance and be a bit more interesting than builder grade without looking out of place. I think everything I recommended will be fine in morning sun followed by the kind of bright shade that a light wall but nothing overhanging provides. Good on you for trying to introduce some interest to a boring wall! PS - addition shade for annual gatherings can be provided by pop ups or tents if needed, and as trees grow, they can add to that. Just sayin' . . . I still think one taller plant set off center would really help ground that building. Consider a flowering dogwood, one of the midsized crabs that retains its fruit, or something like a basswood, hornbeam, or hophornbeam.

To everyone who commented: Thank you!! Lots of ideas and things to consider here. Rearranging the furniture is something I haven't given much thought to. I did what I did because I like my sofa to be close to the tv (well, I'm nearsighted), and coming from a studio apartment, that's how it was previously - everything close together. So it's hard to change. Yes, I should eventually get a new tv stand. The tv is actually safe on the stand, as the tv legs are less wide than the stand itself and the stand is pure wood, so its construction is quite good. It's a relic of the tube tv days, but it worked for the new tv when I bought it a couple of years ago, so I didn't bother changing it. As to the stuff I have all around (especially in the corner) - those are things I want on display. They are model buses from England, many in their own display case. Eventually, I want to get a curio cabinet as I have a much larger collection not yet on display. As for the curtains, I chose that color because it matched the color of the wood floor and the wood furniture. But I may have to re-evaluate that also. I agree about having the curtain rod pulled out on top. However, if you look at the photo of the left side of the window, there's no space to install a curtain rod just to the left top of the window, as the original window frame and the corner of the wall are extremely close. If there's a solution to that, please post!! And thanks for the guide to hanging pictures...I will definitely be taking this info into consideration...I also have my bedroom to work on!! This is all furniture from a previous home. Only the dining table is staying in here - just haven’t ordered anything new yet. We were starting on our everyday family room but the couch we ordered is on such a long delay we decided to work on this room while we are waiting for that to come in. We have already replaced the light (picture of new light below) and are painting now. Open to any shared formal dining and living room furniture combinations that work well and ideas on what to put on the walls. Thank you!

A large poster, but it needs to be colorful. All your pics look like they are black-and-white photos. I can’t find any color in your home, except for one, lone, small, pillow. The space is begging for color. I am not a fan of triptych art. You have one tryptich over your sofa. Two tryptichs is too much. One large poster on that wall.

It could just be the angle of the pic, but it looks like your light & table are not center on that wall. This (for me) would create a challenge. I would steer away from one large piece of art & maybe go with 4 long vertical prints. Or you can do a fun wallpaper print on the entire wall.

I'd use one very large peice of art over the table, or 2 large pieces next to each other, and then put a framed mirror over the buffet by the sliders to reflect the light. You might also consider painting the dining room wall a deeper color or using a simple wallpaper on that wall since you have a natural break between the rooms. It would help define the space and break up the long wall.

I would suggest getting a glass end table for between the sofa and the fireplace, maybe round, and taking everything off the top of the fireplace. Above the glass table think about floating some shelves and you can lean the blanket holder against the shelves, as well as add some decorative items to the shelves.

All the ideas aleady suggested are great. I might add (although I know you mentioned keeping) changing the light fixture over your table. For the size of the wall you have, a longer/bigger piece instead of the smaller scaled light currently there, might also add some space and presence to your table area. You could choose longer, bigger or two smaller ones.
And yes, please center your table in the space.

How about moving the art you have above the sofa to the empty wall in the kitchen area, and getting something larger for the family room?
