Is this wall art hung too high?

TGIF!

This wall art is temporary until I find something I LOVE. We had it these paintings hung lower, but it looked funny so we hung them higher. If we get tall decor will this be okay for the time being? These plants and decor are just temporary. Any ideas on styling?? Thanks!

*I included some of the rest of the room- and some of the previous artwork/height.

Yes, your art is much too high. Try hanging them so that the bottom of the art is 2"-4" from the top of the table. Right now they are so far away they don't relate to the table.

THank you for your response. Previously (the black and white abstract) that was hung about 6 in above- all my feedback was hang it highter. Ugh, decorating is hard lol

Thanks everyone ... I appreciate all the help and compliments I received on this! The rug isn't new, but it was my 3rd try until I got it "right" You know I didn't even think to move the picture up a little, to cover the box, but I will definitely do that. Unfortunately my whole house needs to be rewired, so I will have many more of these type holes to patching paint!

A longer piece of art or making the current statement more central would work. However, the larger painting 'Evening on the Water Wall Art' is beautiful! The scale of the painting would fit perfectly. Also, dressing the top of the cabinet with accents and ornaments, would pull the wall together. It doesn't have to be much, less is more.

nice job! what a difference. The art you have hanging looks really off. It's hung a bit high, but the square shape just doesn't look right. and neither does the design. it competes w/the stone movement. you could try black and white or something very muted. this shape (rectangle) and image design, doesn't compete w/the stone like the other one does I'd leave it blank, or if you have the room to walk by, perhaps do a taller potted plant.

Have you tried hanging them one above the other?

Not everything has to be at eye level.

No, I have not. I am contemplating 2 of the consoles side by side and maybe using all 4 paintings.... but I don't know if that will look bizarre. Or even 2 bookcases on each side and lower the art? I am so confused what to do with this space.

I would try about 10 inches above the console

Thinking outside the box, hang each horizontally and stack them

That solves two issues, they will not line up w/end of console -- and it will give the needed height - plus you can give some breathing room between the pictures
