hlove: Ah, we have similar taste! My sister-in-law designed our bathroom and gets credit for the floor idea (I picked the green accent tile and showed her pics of what I liked and she did the rest). The floor tile actually comes all white. It was her brilliant idea to pop out a few of the white tiles and insert the green glass tiles as accents. Honestly, I ADORE how it came out! It gives the floor the perfect amount of sparkle! If you want, I can ask her where she found the white floor tile (the green glass tile came from Lowes). I'm glad you agree that the light would look too high if we moved it up (yes, DH would NOT have been happy with that request, the poor guy has been busting his butt on our new house for so long, the last thing he needs is unnecessary added work from me). I'd probably go for a grey too. But first I'd try to find images of a similar color penny round with grey grout and make sure you like the look. I realized after looking at lots of pictures that I really like penny rounds but didn't want them on my shower walls because with grey grout they read more grey than white and I wanted white tile walls. I don't honestly know that much about the different brands of grout. I know there have been recent-ish advances in grout that makes epoxy or something very like epoxy grout easier to work with. The tile people in the bathroom forum probably have explained this if you do searches. I'd probably just defer to my tiler if I trusted him or her. (Just an FYI, according to my GC it wasn't possible to match the regular grout we used for wall tile to the epoxy grout we used for the floor so I had to pick two different greys.)

sorry, the wood floor in the pic is not the flooring in the condo… it is currently ancient berber carpet, soon to be replaced with revwood laminate. i love tile for bathrooms & kitchen, it’s a Raised floor for the kitchen which makes it more like a separate room. the tiles are peel & stick linoleum there. The tiny bathroom already has a glass shower; I’d love to rip it all out, but unfortunately labor cost in the mountains of CO are astronomical… so budget will only cover flooring at this time. Do you think the 12x24 tile is too big for these small spaces?

HU-187528210, thank you! You mentioned beige grass cloth, which I do love for it's natural feel. But I agree that it might not work in our space (not "modern" enough). I wonder if a light beige paint would work (but everyone says beige is outdated!)? I also agree that the hardware should get changed out. I wonder if black would work? And, yes, I definitely need a mirror with a frame like you've shown in your photo! I have seen a company that sells frames that stick onto builder grade mirrors. Not sure the quality of those or how well they work.
