Bungalow lighting help

The 2 lights in the peak need to be replaced on this 1933 brick bungalow. One definitely needs to remain low profile, the other (above the stairs) could be a pendant. Thinking oil rubbed bronze or antiqued brass. Ideas???

Comments (4)You want the best finish on the walls you can afford. A Level 5 plaster veneer would be just shy of a full 3 coat plaster job, and superior to any drywall finish. Depending on the height of the ceiling, whether there is any crown molding, coved ceiling design etc, drives ceiling color. If basic 8' or 9' high ceilings, and no crown, ceiling color at 50% of wall color looks good. Comments (8)The only room we have touched so far is the kitchen. All the other rooms are in need. We would like to reconfigure the entire space to have two bedrooms, a bath and a half (or 3/4). Our thoughts are to convert the two rooms (10X12 and 13X12 with the fireplace) into a master and the extra bath. But the hallway is awkward and we’d also like a little more room in the existing bedroom and bath... this is way more complicated to us than our kitchen design was. Comments (7)Thanks for the feedback. Revolutionary Gardens based on your suggestion, I went to the local lighting store. They had some suggestions, but fewer than I hoped because ...now I am also looking for lights that are LED. (Last week I had a prelim walk-through with the electrician who recommended LED lights. Otherwise, to meet code, I'd have to put them on a timer or motion detector). SO.....anyone have leads on lights that are a) Wet Rated b) LED and... c) look good w/ a bungalow or cottage. I'm looking for 1 flush-mount/semi-flush-mount (can be damp rated), 2 down lights and 2 pair of sconces. Thanks in advance for any leads or help!...See More- PRO
