Clorox color load non chlorine bleach

Hello friends.... I just found this (new to me) product at Target and bought it. I really bought it for my daughter who has serious food stains from a 2 and 4 year old along with home builder husband Laundry stains. It is

peroxide based and says you can use it on white and colored clothing. She uses Tide detergent. Has anyone ever used this and can tell me if you liked it or not and if it works well?

I ask her tonight if she’s noticed a difference, if it’s helping. She said definitely! It’s taking spaghetti sauce stains out of the girls clothes. I have not seen the product at Walmart, I bought it at Target.... just FYI.

I hear vinegar is natural softener. Non chlorine contains hyprogien proxide which is safe for colors clothes it mainly removes stains.

“When Clorox® Regular-Bleach is stored between 50°F and 70F° and away from sunlight, it will maintain label strength of the sodium hypochlorite active for up to 6 months (at this point hospitals should replace it). After 6 months it starts breaking down into salt and water, but it will still work well for the home consumer up to a year. Since it’s always diluted before use, you can just use a little more. Over the past few days. I had my own little experiment with bleach in the pre-wash. The first picture is my tea cups, stained with Early Grey tea + milk + hard water. This is is after the pre-wash with a teaspoon of the wonderful Aldi ''Alio Compact'' powder. This wash last 15 minutes, starts cold and heats up to about 120F. More tea-stained cups, waiting to be bleached. I poured a little Dan Klorix right into the water, after the dishwasher had filled. 15 minutes later... Final thoughts... The bleach pre-wash probably had the tea stains knocked out in minutes, while the detergent needed the hot wash cycle (or an extended low-temp wash) to get the same results. Opening the door to check on the results also took me right back to the mid-90s, when I used my aunts GE dishwash with Cascade powder - the smell of bleach. On the other hand, I wonder about possible negative side-effects on delicate, unprotected patterns on glasses and on the dishwasher itself. After all, chlorinated dishwasher detergents for domestic use were phased out some good 20 years ago and modern detergents conatin buffer agents to protect dishes. In the end, I will stick with a teaspoon of powder in the pre-wash, as it's easier to dose (goes in even before the machine starts), potentially gentler, and I get perfectly clean dishes either way. Thanks everyone. ....I was thinking of forcing it into the wash cycle, last 5or6 minutes as I also don't like the idea of it going into the first rinse. Roc I do have a spray bottle filled with alcohol. .however it has to be sprayed on and left wet for I think its around 5 minutes in order to disinfect. Dorey, sadly if you can smell any chlorine in your textiles than its still there and will continue damaging the fabric. When using chlorine bleach things should be rinsed until zero scent remains. I used to buy the cheap 10paks of toothbrushes at the dollar tree for use during strep infections...but I was given a box of over 500 kids toothbrushes, each factory sealed in plastic. Weve been using these as daily disposable T.brushes during strep and other infectious illness. I get a case every year from a school employee. They are sent to the school to be given to thechildren during dental health awareness but the school is over stocked and I agreed to take some off their hands lol. This spring I will most likely be given more and tthat's when I will have to express my thanks but I can't take anymore LOL. But these really came in handy. When treatment is over I'll get them new good brushes, actually I already have them. Hopefully no one else in the family gets sick as you know how stressed I get if I have piles of bedding to catch up on haha

If she is JUST using Tide Liquid or Liquid Detergents in general, than she definitely will see a difference using this. Those detergents are (generally) Enzyme Based, and this will add Oxygen Bleach into the Mix.

With that said, I can't say I've used this product in general. Just Clorox 2 Liquid.

That's great Mimi. I've not seen that product before. I wonder how different it is from regular Clorox 2? I've not used that myself. My inlaws, long time ago, used to use Clorox 2 in every load. I never got on the bandwagon since their clothes and towels had musty/moldy odors. I figured it didn't work very well. They only washed laundry in cold with liquid detergent though. I turned them onto powder Wisk way back when, and that solved their musty odor problem (I never mentioned to them they had it), then powder Wisk went discontinued and they switched to liquid Wisk. The musty/moldy odor returned. I hope your dd continues to have good results with the new product.

I have a bottle from Winn Dixie. I'm not sure it does anything. I purchased for roomies problem drawers. I have since just done a heavy soil setting and a little spray of Shout. The Clorox Color Load is hydrogen peroxide based. I will take mine to laundromat for the folks who want it.

I stopped using Clorox 2 years ago and don't remember why. I regularly use 20 Mule Team and I am not even sure I believe it is making a big difference. Our most soiled laundry is always kitchen towels and dish rags which I wash with bath linens on hot, and the WH for the LR is turned up to scalding hot. I may have to experiment with these other Clorox products such as ColorLoad (what a name). I noticed on the bottle mud is one of the things it touts it is effective on, and that is another issue here with lots of landscaping going on.

Well I’m afraid the good results will go down hill fast since I noticed she bought a huge jug of Purex. I myself have used Purex in the past so I’m not bashing it by any means but her laundry is way too challenging for Purex to work.
