Hello! I just recently bought the conan oval table from Article and the Zola grey chairs. the table hasn't arrived yet but I was hoping someone can help me choose a rug just based on this photo....the table is the same wood color as the chair. I have a baby and 2 dogs so I need it to be from ruggable.com or therugcollective.com I know that's very specific so if you don't have the time to go on those sites, can someone at least tell me the colors you think would be nice? I think I'm having a hard time visualizing it because my floors are more of a orange-y color. my walls are beige. any input is much appreciated!

@Diana Bier has offered some good options. I agree, some color is needed. You also need to consider pattern scale when mixing patterns. The herringbone looks small, might even read as a solid, but what is the repeat on the other fabric? It should be identified on the fabric sample if you are buying from the furniture manufacturer (that cardboard holder at the top) or you can measure it yourself. You don't want to have a rug with a repeat the same as the fabric. Overall, mixing patterns are great with a small, a medium and a large scale fabric patterns.

Beautiful cabin in great condition! Our son/DIL had a ruggable rug under their dining table, but the ends curled up after washing and the chairs did not slide easily on the rug and actually made snags in the rug…it did not last long…would not recommend. For your cabin, I’d suggest a larger darker rug for the living room. And washable small bedside rugs for the bedrooms. Then furniture leg pads for the dining table/chair legs. Encourage a “shoes off” policy by providing shoe/boot storage near the entry doors and a basket of cozy gripper socks for cabin guests. Will your cabin/location attract families, hunters, or a sport/activity centric group…skiers, fishing enthusiasts? You may want to update/change out some of the furnishings to make the cabin more attractive to potential renters. Remove white eyelet valances, swap out the bed spreads for more updated bedding. Add some table lamps. If budget allows, replace the upholstered woodland themed chair/ottoman with a more modern chair. Paint the beige siding in a dark color…dark green or charcoal
