Thank you both. I have never used the Planner5D App. Is this an app just for Iphone users? (I have an android). Is there a way to upload a photo? Also, I am looking for a way to draw a floorplan of my home. Does this app allow me to draw a floor plan?

Beautiful cabin in great condition! Our son/DIL had a ruggable rug under their dining table, but the ends curled up after washing and the chairs did not slide easily on the rug and actually made snags in the rug…it did not last long…would not recommend. For your cabin, I’d suggest a larger darker rug for the living room. And washable small bedside rugs for the bedrooms. Then furniture leg pads for the dining table/chair legs. Encourage a “shoes off” policy by providing shoe/boot storage near the entry doors and a basket of cozy gripper socks for cabin guests. Will your cabin/location attract families, hunters, or a sport/activity centric group…skiers, fishing enthusiasts? You may want to update/change out some of the furnishings to make the cabin more attractive to potential renters. Remove white eyelet valances, swap out the bed spreads for more updated bedding. Add some table lamps. If budget allows, replace the upholstered woodland themed chair/ottoman with a more modern chair. Paint the beige siding in a dark color…dark green or charcoal

Thank you Susan. Those are excellent suggestions and I will definitely apply them all. In fact, I was just looking at those eyelet valances and wondering if they were outdated. I will remove them. Our cabin will attract families with children and fishing enthusiasts. We're located just two hours North of Minneapolis. I like the shoes off policy, and the gripper socks for winter guests are a nice touch. If you can give me some ideas on the types of furniture and bedding you had in mind, I'd be grateful. And, thanks so much about the Ruggable tip. That would have been a very expensive mistake on my part. If you are only going to use this as a rental for a limited period of time and/or want to preserve the flooring, I would look into covering them with something that doesn't need to be nailed or glued, like a floating click lock wood look vinyl or a laminate. Having fake wood floor won't be a deal breaker for your target renters (and could be attractive if they don't have to worry about damage).

I don't know the technicalities of laying these types of flooring, but if it were my investment, I'd do some research and see what is possible. Then you can just use reasonably sized rugs for decor and color without worry about covering so much of the floor.

When you want to use the home yourselves and not worry about renters, you can simply remove the flooring.

If your goal is protection for the vintage floors, get room sized berber carpets bound.

Another option is Flor carpet squares.

I would choose the bedding to be more rustic, rather than the comforter/puffy covers that you would see at home. The flor tiles are probably the best option for both durability and clean up. The wall might look good painted in a darker rusty gold color, somewhat like the leather couch.
