It's interesting how you said that an engineered hardwood flooring would be best to prevent moisture from seeping through. That would be important because if you didn't then the wood could possibly end up expanding and cracking. That would mean that there would be a greater need for repairs and things like that which would cost lots of money.

Thanks for pointing out that the type of subfloor you have, whether it be concrete, particleboard, or plywood, will determine what type of flooring you can actually have. I'll have to find out if I have plywood, particleboard, or concrete because I want to put in some lovely hardwood floors into my front room and kitchen.
