I was looking for a listing for my favorite strawberry huller, which is just a stamped and shaped piece of steel and actually works much better than a good paring knife for the purpose. This is what I found four pages in. Because the farm supply is fresh out of rice hullers... At least they're offering a discount. ;) The same page also had a couple different kinds of crank style quail egg peeler machines, but those were under $50. :)

Comments (8)Instead of limiting yourself to a colored laptop, you could just buy a skin. They come in all kinds of designs and they just stick on and peel off when you want to. I just ordered some for my kindle and iPhone that match. I love the one for my Kindle because it keeps it from slipping out of my hands. I bought them from DecalGirl but lots of places on the web sell them. I thought it would be a great idea for travelers to put the skin on their laptop so they don't get mixed up with someone elses when they put them on the conveyer belt at the airport. I proudly picked out the identical flooring that is resting on the side of the cabinet for my first house that we built in 1984. LOVED IT!!! (for about 5 years and then it yellowed and peeled and ...) I think that's the hardest part about picking out stuff for this kitchen redo. I'm thinking of spending a boat-load of money. What of the stuff I'm picking out now is the equivalent of that old vinyl????? Comments (11)Kath, according to FindAGrave, I've filled 16 photo requests. I'm guessing I've looked unsuccessfully for about half that many. These were in very small, old cemeteries where I could look at every stone in one trip. The cemeteries always included some stones that were so old they were unreadable, so I assume that's why I didn't find the name(s) I was looking for. I also have a large backlog of requests--not sure how many, but I recently moved them all into one file on my computer. I began volunteering to do this when I wasn't working. When I had to go back to work, the job ate up a lot of my free time. Plus gravestone photography is definitely a seasonal activity for me. With my Raynaud's Syndrome, there's no way I could be outside doing this in the cold weather. This summer I started trying to catch up, but I still have a long way to go on the backlog--and I continue to receive new requests. I may have mentioned that I often get request that are out of my area. When that happens, I email the person making the request and explain that it's not likely I'll take the picture but I wish them luck finding someone else to do it. I haven't done any research beforehand other than speaking to the person in charge of the cemetery. Sometimes the request includes a location within the cemetery, but usually not. I'm not sure what you mean by private cemeteries. If I need to know who's in charge of a certain cemetery, I always find out by calling one of the local funeral directors. Comments (43)Dafna sells on EBay. I bought 20 lbs of STPP last year. I also was monitoring Amazon and EBay when it stopped being available. Other sellers charge quite a bit more. It is available again YAY on both Amazon and EBay for those wondering. I have studied detergent formularies extensively and always look up the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for old laundry and dishwashing detergents. Premium or Industrial powdered laundry detergent has on average 20-30% phosphorus by weight, consumer strength about 10-15%. Premium dishwashing powder detergent comes either chlorinated w/ phosphorus or enzyme based w/ phosphorus. (Bleach kills enzymes so you'll never see any formulas with both together). Phosphate content is 11% for industrial strength Cascade or 8% for consumer strength. Biz powdered detergent has a higher percentage of the main ingredient sodium percarbonate in comparison to Oxiclean. Biz is an enzyme based detergent, which means it works best in warm, not hot water (hot water destroys the enzymes). Enzymes need time to eat and break down protein based stains which is why heavily soiled items should be soaked overnight/24 hours to be the most effective. I use 1/2 a cup of Biz in my HE top load washer with 1 TBS sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP from Dafna General) and soak my whites overnight and wash the next day. I never use bleach because it is toxic and it breaks down clothing fibers over time. For dish detergent I use Cascade Platinum packs with 1 tsp STPP in the detergent section, and 1 tsp Citric Acid or LemiShine plus 1/2 tsp approx. of Dawn Ultra original blue dish soap in the pre-rinse compartment. Similarly, I also have used Up and Up powder detergent, Lemishine, and STPP altogether in the detergent compartment with just a squirt of Dawn as the pre-rinse. No! That's just a grabber. Nothing sharp. Similar size, but ... i was going to say “misses the point” as in notion, but it literally misses the point. They still make one like it, but with totally unnecessary red plastic “pads” where you hold it and less curve. They look like they make it harder to hold and control. You reach the points under the green top, pushing the in on either side of the core, then squeeze, snipping it, and pull it out. Of course the point of the thread was the rice polisher. :)

A bit off topic...but if you like lightweight house pants that can be fine for a walk and a grocery...summer weight, ...these are excellent. Surprised at the few bad reviews. If your washer/dryer is a monster that eats things, get the six pack of mesh bags. I did have my dryer rip the thin straps off my camisole straps...they get caught in the spin drum. Mesh bags solved that.
My first two-pack from Costco a half dozen years ago became favorites. Amazon to the rescue. I had just enough info on the faded label. Get one size up for loosey-goosey. 😀

This is the one from the top post. It doesn't list the weight. You should be able to infer something close from the details. I think it would come freight, not through package delivery.
