Grill pan or George Foreman
Comments (4)I have both a George Foreman grill & an old-fashioned well-seasoned Lodge cast-iron grill pan. The George Foreman grill is currently residing in the basement, while my Lodge lives on in the kitchen. For $20-$25 tops, the Lodge will grill everything from steaks to sea scallops, leaving those lovely grill marks & true "grill" taste & texture. George Foreman is more of a "steamer". And really, my Lodge pan seasoned up fairly quickly. It doesn't take much. Just some vegetable oil or shortening (like Crisco) & some heating & cooling time. You end up with a fabulous piece of non-stick cooking equipment that just requires a no-soap scrub for a fraction of what you'd pay for something more "frou frou"....See MoreWhat about Geo. Comments (12)I love mine and cook all kinds of meats. I marinate most of my meats and they come out nice and juicy and taste great. I also do fresh veggies like asparagus, zucchini and other squashes on there. I also cook my bacon on it and then put a 2 X 4 under the front legs and cook pancakes. Bobby loves the pancakes on it since it leaves ridges for the syrup. Easy as can be to clean up. Just put a dishrag with hot soapy water on it on the grill after you shut it off and close the lid....See MoreGeorge Foreman Grill
Comments (1)I would bake a chicken in the oven. You could grill chicken with the GF, but even with a domed lid (if it even has that) I wouldn't bother trying to cook a whole chicken with it, if that is what you are asking. The GF is okay for quickly cooking burgers, hot dogs or chicken breasts. I wouldn't try to overstress it's potential capabilities. Duane...See MoreWhat do you cook on your GeorgeForeman grill?
Comments (24)I make sandwiches on mine too. My favorite is turkey, shredded cheese. and halved grape tomatoes on a tortilla. Any leftover meat works well too. The kids like the hot dogs because it makes 'stripes' on them! Grilled cheese and tomato is good too! Also french toast. You can even grill onion for your burgers. BTW-it bears repeating-after removing your items, unplug and immediatly place wet soapy paper towels on it, and close the lid. Helps greatly with cleaning! It anything else remains, the GF aponges work great!...See Morejally
