Your deeply recessed entry doesn't look to be too exposed to the elements. Are you wanting the storm so you can leave the front door open in warmer weather? Consider matching the rectractable screen to your trim color. Not sure what "ram" color is though. What kind of lighting do you have on the porch?

Please reconsider the retractable screen door. My issue is that is offers no security. If the screen is retracted and some stranger comes to the door there is nothing between you and the stranger when you open that door. They look great but security is an issue.

I would select a full-frame screen door and have your door match the color.

We want the door to be able to let in fresh air and more light when its warmer. Not to protect the front door or for security.

1)keep everything blue

2) keep the door and sidelights blue but paint trim white

3) keep the door and sidelights blue but paint trim to match siding/windows/garage door (tan/sand)

4) leave door blue but paint sidelights and trim either white or tan.

I think white is too stark. I'd leave the blue alone. If you can't match it with your storm/screen door, choose black.

Paint the screen door the same color as the door.

I would pull that door out of the recessed shadows and paint it white. It would be nice with the brick. Would also consider wider trim around the windows.

The blue door is beautiful but it has no curb presence because it is in a black hole, so to speak. I think you should lighten the color so it can be seen, and that may solve your dilemma at the same time.

Do you have recessed downlights over the door? That would help at night.

During the day, short of facing your door with mirrors, no color that is appropriate for the home is going to show up in the dark recess.
