Both would work. The second one produces a much higher light output though, two of those is approximately equal to three of the HD lamps. Both are rated to 8000 hours of running time, so count on good light quality for about half that because light quality does diminish after a while. If you run them on a timer for 12-14 hours a day that works out to somewhere around a year and six to nine months. Can you add a third fixture and have three of the less expensive lamps? That way if one burns out you don't have as significant loss.

dadoes, the dilution level does play a role, but it does not ensure that the soils are actually flushed away. When I wash my clothes I want them to be clean afterwards and don't want the dirt just to be "watered down". A FL cleans with a higher concentration of detergent and rinses several times (two or three times by default) to make sure that all the dirt really is gone. I have seen the nasty rinse water in our TL when we had to drain it manually. It is not a good feeling to realize that part of that dirty water just stays in the clothes... I know that our old TL was worse than most other TLs, but I still don't believe that TLs ever clean as good as FLs when comparing hot cycles. TLs without heaters just don't provide a really hot wash even though they use huge amounts of hot water. You can't sanitize anything in a TL without using LCB or other chemicals. I know hot water doesn't sterilize clothes and I am good with that. I don't want or need sterile clothes, but I want them free of nasty smells. My mom used to wash cloth diapers when we were little and it does work in a FL. Yes, it is tougher to dump the soak water in there, but our washer was in the basement and the floor had a drain. My mom just poured it out right there (in front of the washer). We also had a laundry sink next to the washer though. Disposable diapers are pretty expensive and cause a lot of waste. That's one of the reasons that we had our daughter potty-trained by age two (or shortly afterwards). She learned the poopong on the potty really fast (at 18 months)...YEAH!

Definitely the Indian River. Your material selections sound similar to mine, and at least from my monitor, Indian River looks similar to my color (though that's not what mine is). I'm very pleased with the combination. This doesn't show the colors the best, but there's a serious shortage of natural daylight in my bathroom (it doesn't have any exterior walls).
