Comments (14)This forum is no longer the friendly forum it used to be. People have become overly sensitive, vindictive and resentful of anyone whose opinion differs from theirs. We are all different and we all having differing personalities and quirks. Swaps usd to be fun and friendships were made and flourished. I rememver Coffeemom searching for me At Disney and finally locating me just to give me a hug. That is truly caring and meant more to me than she will ever know. I have formed the opinion that this forum no longer cares about people but only about their own precious egos and that makes me extremely sad. I remember when we banded together to assist one another and now we destroy one another and I for one do not wish to be a part of this forum any longer. I had a near death experience six weeks ago and it made me realize that life is too short to allow people to be vindictive and hateful. Yes, Ricky has a quirky sense of humor and he has strong opinions about certain subjects but he brought a lot of knowledge to this forum and his swaps were the most generous and caring swaps I have ever attended. I for one miss his terribly and I am most resently of the attitudes of some of you. We all newd to stand in front of a mirror and take a good long look at our reflections and see if we are the loving caring people we think we are. This forum is as Cindee stated a forum for ALL gardeners in Florida. Apparently that is no longer the case. Happy gardening. Linda...See MoreCroton Party/Barbecue/Plant Auction

Comments (12)Hi Susannah. Well, I don't have any tomatoes right now to trade, but I do have some small aloe vera plants. You are certainly welcome to some of these. Sheri :)...See MoreCalling Fawnridge/Ricky!
Comments (10)These pictures and comments are greatly appreciated. I have returned to this thread - yeah, just this one thread - more times than you would imagine. I purchased a timer - a Melnor Electronic AquaTimer 3060 It is battery-operated and has a dedicated mist cycle (separate from the 6-cycles per day setting). I don't expect to get a second timer, but busy life may change that. :) I still have not pulled the trigger on a purchase of misting nozzles (mist "emitters" as they are sometimes called). I have a collection of bookmarks on misting beds and propagation beds that you would not believe. Like both of you (Ricky and Plantsman), my mist bed will be outside - I do not have a greenhouse. I am still mulling over setup: 1/2" Sched 40 PVC with risers and upright misters (like yours, Ricky) vs. 1/2" or 1/4" tubing (overhead supply line) with downspray nozzles. If I do the latter, I have to worry about a frame (to support the tubing) and anti-drip components. I would really like to follow your design, Ricky, but finding those upright nozzles has proved to be more of a challenge than I expected. Nothing at my local Home Depot and Lowes. I will have to check Ace Hardware and call some local irrigation companies. I would prefer not to mail order. Ricky, on some site, I read that you should spray-paint the PVC black or else algae will grow inside the white PVC and clog up the mist heads/nozzles. Did you ever experience that? I will post pictures of my system once I get it up and running. Thanks again to you both! Carol in Jacksonville...See Morebragu_DSM 5
