5000k will likely feel really, really white and certainly will enhance more of the cool colours in your home over the warmer colours - but many will find them kitchen prep. space bright white.

But kelvins are only part of the story - look for bulbs with a CRI (colour rendering index of 90+) - that way you may find lower kelvins combined with 90+ CRI will work.

Just keep looking for 4000K I have them all over my house in different style bulbs.

We just bought those type of bulbs (in fact it looks like we have the same chandelier) in 4000k from Amazon. You can filter by all of the specifications pretty easily and they carry tons of options across many known brands

Where did you find the 4000k e12 bulbs for chandliers? I have them in the all recessed lights but that's al I've been successful with.

stop looking at Kelvin's, that is a heat to light rating LED dont work like this they are "programmed" to be a "color" look at the CRI

Yes, I definitely agree that we need to add lamps to our space. Not wanting the space to be cooler. I want the lighting to project the cool colors of the decor, versus giving a yellowish/orangish overcast that is creating an undertone issue with the greys that I have. The 4000K lights that we added in our recessed lighting gave off a true color of the decor so I thought that's what we needed. Any suggestions on a light bulb that will not give off this orange hue?

So if I understand you correctly, you want your paint colour to look the same when the lights are on vs when the lights are off? This doesn't seem like a possible goal. Your paint colour won't look the same depending on if the sun is out or the sky is cloudy either. I'm not sure any bulb type is going to address your issue.

It's possible my monitor just isn't rendering the colour shift you're bein aggravated by, but I'm not being bothered by the colour render in the "lights on" photo. I'm being put off by the glare of the clear bulbs and the lack of layered lighting. Plus, I will admit to preferring a warmer (think incandescent) light.

Yes, we've already addressed the lack of layered lighting as I am still in the process of decoration our home. I'm just not wanting the light color to be an orange/yellow hue (even with layered lighting). Doesn't work well with the current color scheme in my home (in my opinion). When our home was browns/creams/golds it worked out great. Not really interested in personal preferences since everyone's is different. Just looking for suggestions on the lighting hue, which it seems like I need to look for lights with CRI90+

OK so you know already that candelabra bulbs should look like candlelight (dim) otherwise the light from the bulbs is too garish in quality for the room.
