Paint Color - Help Me Choose

I’ve now got every finish picked out for my new master bath, with two exceptions: paint & countertop.

The stone fabricator won’t hold remnants (even if paid in full) so that decision will wait, but I plan to go with a warm lighter color, something like Taj Mahal quartzite.

I tend to like warmer-neutral colors and have included some photos of the adjoining bedroom, which is painted SW Caen Stone, which I love.

Floor tile with vanity color: (vanity is SW Restful White)

(the wall color here is the Caen Stone in my bedroom)

Sherwin Williams recommends this color as coordinating well with Caen Stone. I like it a lot (note the color of my bedroom rugs) but think it might be too dark:

When we remodeled my Dad‘s house, he paired Taj with SW Accessible Beige. It looked terrific in the main rooms with more natural light. In a few rooms with much less natural light, we used a half formula of the same color.

It‘s a nice neutral that provides a great flexible backdrop for a mixture of warms and cools in the furnishings. He has mostly warm neutral furnishings with touches of cooler tones. About a 70/30 mix I think.

Thank you, AJCN. My current bathroom & stairwell are Accessible Beige. It works, but I'm bored with it!

Tradewinds is Sherwin Williams, I used it in our guest bath and it's a nice color. In person it seems a tad saturated, maybe because of the lighting or size of the room. We used SW Sea Salt first in our master bath but it reflected a lot of glare, so we repainted with the next darker shade, Comfort Gray, also a great color but leans towards the greens. This is our bath with Tradewinds, the room originally was a small bedroom so it's actually not that small and does get a lot of light.

Sample sample sample! DD painted her entire house Repose Gray. It came out baby blue. In the next house, she wanted baby blue, so she used Repose Gray again. This time it came out true gray. That convinced me of the necessity for having big samples of paint colors and looking at them at different times of the day.

I think a pale tan with white trim and columns would look good with black shutters and red brick. I would remove any planting from in front of the proch, except annuals and perennials, to open it up. Add more flowering bushes and ornamental trees. You have a lovely house and setting.
