I would go with a blue based gray. The gray tones down the starker look of a pure blue or green and will offer the spa feel you are looking for. I am not a fan of sherwin William paints but love the selection of colors they have in their gray pallette and use them often. As I'm sure you know, Most any brand can mix another stores colors so don't limit your color options to just one brand.

BM Glass Slipper/Santorini Blue and SW sea salt/comfort gray compliment each other, are very restful and beautiful. Good luck!

How about F & B's Borrowed Light or Parma Gray? I like their ethereal effect in the trees, and you can find similar colors in other brands.

I am planning on Benj. Moore Quiet Moment for our upcoming bath remodel. Might be a possibility for your project.

Try BM Scenic Drive. I think this is hands down the prettiest paint color I've ever seen. A friend has it in her bedroom and it is very serene, plus it looks great day or night.

We have BM Wedgewood Gray in our bedroom and I love it! I also wanted a spa like soothing color scheme, and our windows face east (overlooking the pool). I used white and silver as accent colors, white bedding and silver picture frames. A small tabletop water fountain on our low dresser helps with the spa effect.

It's still a work in progress, no art over the bed yet, etc - but here's what the color looks like.

after the blizzard I will go out and take a look at all the wonderful suggestions - please keep them coming. Our BM store gives me the contractor discount since I buy so much paint from them (ha ha - in the last go around I had over 80 pints for multiple rooms). I don't know what color this is but I think it's very pretty and spa looking. Perfect for a guest room.

I would start with the bedding or window treatment....much easier to match paint to fabric than the other way around.

And keep the pattern contrast low and the color contrast very soft. Monochromatic schemes are the most restful.

How about doing something warm, for when you're away from home. The blues are pretty and serene but I've heard people say blue is hard to live in and can be cold. I'm sure that's not true for everyone! I think I would be fine with it if it were a coastal home.

SH Tradewinds, very similar to the photo posted by caminnc. I just did our NW facing bathroom in Tradewinds on the upper, white on the bottom wainscotting. I used chrome lights, faucet etc. very soothing, yet not too light. The Tradewinds really changes with the time of day.

BM Healing Aloe is my go-to "relaxing" color.

You can see it in the closet here in our beach cottage master bedroom.

I second Comfort Gray. It's my favorite color and I've used it in bedrooms, bathrooms, and even in a sun room.

I had SW Krypton in the master BR of my previous home and I never tired of it.

If you want to tend a bit more green, take a look at SW Quietude. I love that color for a bedroom or bathroom. It looks really nice with cherry woods and black and white.

In the trees? I'd paint it light yellow green, with botanical prints or pressed ferns on the walls and a few live plants.

Green in the trees would be soothing too! A yellow might be difficult and actually go chartreuse due to all the trees, no?

Tradewinds is Sherwin Williams, I used it in our guest bath and it's a nice color. In person it seems a tad saturated, maybe because of the lighting or size of the room. We used SW Sea Salt first in our master bath but it reflected a lot of glare, so we repainted with the next darker shade, Comfort Gray, also a great color but leans towards the greens.

This is our bath with Tradewinds, the room originally was a small bedroom so it's actually not that small and does get a lot of light.

No one has mentioned BM Pallaidian Blue . I have it in the guest room and did the ceiling the same color Love it, it is very peaceful.

Since I love color, I would go with a new color in each room. Using the same color isn't as interesting to me.
