Quilts for my granddaughters
Comments (16)Thanks to all...the white quilt with the pink was for a pink room...before I got it finished they had painted her room purple...so I will bind it with a mauve binding...the other still has her pink room so will bind it with pink. The old ticker has acted up before...had a bypass two years ago...thought all was well...now this...racing heart beats out of control...strikes when it feels like...good Lord is watching over me for sure....See MoreMy granddaughter's excellent progress! Comments (33)Congratulations to her. She looks like she is on her way to recovery! True story, my nephew at about 21 years old broke both of his femurs also and is pretty much recovered. His friends and him were all wearing helmet cams while dirt bike riding over some moogles. He crossed a road, went down the ditch and flew back up the side, when his body went up and front legs landed on the handle bars, flipping over foward. The whole incident was recorded and on facebook! Well tonight he was at a family dinner, walking just like it never happened. It took a couple years to get close to normal and I am so happy when I see him safe in good health. Your gdd looks really good next to the bike! Makes me hopeful for her future too....See Morehow to decorate around my granddaughter pic
Comments (3)I am not a pro, and I lean toward fairly simple things.... (So you know my bias/lack of credentials, lol.) This is the first thing that popped into my head. Depending on the size of the portrait, I would use three standard photo-sized pictures/canvases (or Granddaughter's own original artwork, or a mix of both) on either side. I'm thinking 8x10s, but you might be able to fit 11x14s. If it were me -- I noticed a purple-blue-green color scheme, with your vases; which is my favorite color palette, plus copper (which Cutie's hair is PERFECT with!!!) -- I would ask her to make some art for Grandma, and dump a couple of canvases in front of her with acrylic paints in purple-blue-green. Oooooh wait...! I might also consider doing all of the flanking photos/canvases as black-and-white *or* sepia-tone baby pics of her. <3 Whatcha think?!?! lol (Dang, I keep trying to attach a picture, and it's not working, ugh!)...See MoreIndulge my bragging about my granddaughter
Comments (19)it sounds like she's a really responsible young lady, how refreshing!! i worked as an election judge for many years, it could be boring during local elections but for general elections, it was always busy and even though the day started at 5:30 am and ended at 10ish pm, the time flew! i hope your granddaughter enjoys this experience!...See Morekathyg_in_mi
