I never thought I would hate raccoons..............
Comments (8)Thanks everyone for your kind comments. Lisa: I am tempted to stay up all night to see. Only thing I can figure is they wait at the edge of the pond and when a fish comes up on the shelf "Bam, they have it." I still haven't been able to catch the injured fish. Even though it doesn't have a tail it's fast. My water is so clear you can see it was gnawed off entirely. The poor fish just wiggles through the water. I am worried about infection. They struck again last night and tore my floating islands to shreds. Just like Mike posted they must think the noodles are edible. There is blue styrofoam from one end of the yard the the other. The one you made me they didn't bother though. I took a pic of it and forgot to post it for you to see. Catherinet: I never had a problem when my dog was alive. He died two years ago and ever since then it's been "coon city". I just made the remark to my son that I'm going to adopt a greyhound. I won't have another dog though. I work full time and it isn't fair to the animal. Maybe when I retire. Or I can put a sign in my front yard "Curb your dogs on my grass" or "dog poo wanted". lol I think they sell water scarecrows at my garden store. Comments (33)I should also mention Martin Frobisher, which decided to bloom this year after some little discussion about shovels and prime real estate. It is just pretty enough to keep around another year, a nice soft pink, which does not self clean. And is a sparse bush about 3' tall. Meanwhile other hybrid rugosas, planted at the same time or even a year later, Germania, Rose de la Hay, Ritausma, have grown above my head and are covered with blooms....See MoreI hate deer I hate deer I hate deer
Comments (27)When I was a teenager, my mother thought chipmunks were cute. My Aunt next door cut down on the amount of cats & Mom was feeding them (the tree rats). The next thing we knew, there were chipmunks EVERYWHERE. Dozens of them, digging up all the bulbs & everything we planted. Emptying all the bird feeders. Running & playing & most of all multiplying. My Uncles were poisoning, trapping & shooting them until they finally got down to a manageable number. In later years, I had a Sheltie who thought it was her job to be on chipmunk patrol & she took it very seriously & kept them away. My Newf isn't that excited over such a small mouthfull but we have an Eskie who likes organic dog toys (mice & such are organic cat toys). Linda...See MoreBedroom sets - love them or hate em?
Comments (3)I feel your pain! When we moved into a brand new home I finally got a bedroom set. Solid wood, gorgeous and matching because, to me, it was perfect because we’d never had anything but mis-matches. It was also very easy. Now, 20 years later, I’m bored with it, yes. It’s still beautiful and in perfect condition so I’ve split it up and use the dresser in another room and re-purposed the outdated armoire. My point is, even if you bought a set now you love, you’re not locked in. I’ve gotten much better at the “eclectic “ look shall we say. Though, we did buy a matching sofa and loveseat for the family room because it was more cohesive for the room....See More- 3 years agolast modified: 3 years ago
